La Selvanella is one of Chianti Classico’s most celebrated single-vineyard sites — located in Radda in Chianti, one of the highest and coolest villages in the appellation, producing Sangiovese of exceptional elegance and structure. Melini has farmed this estate vineyard for decades, crafting a Riserva of pure varietal character: red fruits, irises, woodland undergrowth, and toasted almonds, with the firm, age-worthy backbone that defines great Chianti Classico.

Tightly wound and medium- to full-bodied with tender red fruit and an elegant rigidity that is very appealing. Pure Sangiovese from a single vineyard in Radda in Chianti. Already drinkable, but will reward cellaring.

Clear, dark ruby in color with a full, complex bouquet of red fruits, irises, and hints of vanilla. The palate is full, generous, and warm with an elegant aftertaste of woodland undergrowth and toasted almonds. Firm structure and bright Sangiovese acidity make this an ideal candidate for the cellar through 2038.
