Grown in the southern Beaujolais countryside, “Les Pierres Dorées” brings Louis Latour’s Burgundian expertise to vineyards around Morancé and Theizé. Clay-limestone soils rich in iron oxide give the landscape its characteristic ochre color, while elevations of 280–400 meters help preserve freshness in the grapes.

90 Points · James Suckling: “This pinot noir, from a high-altitude limestone terroir in the south of the Beaujolais region, has an eye-popping freshness. Juicy and crisp with plenty of crunchy sour cherry fruit plus a touch of licorice. Restrained tannins, but they are quite dry. These vineyards were planted from 2012 and now total 20 hectares.”
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the wine is fermented in traditional open vats and aged for ten to twelve months in a combination of stainless steel and French oak barrels. Awarded 90 points by James Suckling, it offers an appealing balance of richness, aromatic complexity, and freshness.
Serve slightly cool alongside herb-crusted lamb, roasted quail, tuna tartare, or goat cheese.
