Rich yet lively, with layered notes of vanilla, pastry cream and brioche, joined by blackberry, salted almond and blood orange zest. Fine acidity and texture carry the wine through a harmonious finish. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
Henri Goutorbe Cuvée Prestige Brut is a refined grower Champagne produced by one of the historic family estates of Aÿ. Founded in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne, Henri Goutorbe is particularly known for expressive, well-structured Champagnes built around the richness and depth of Pinot Noir.
The blend is led by approximately 70% Pinot Noir, with 25% Chardonnay and a small proportion of Pinot Meunier. The Pinot Noir contributes body, ripe fruit and a distinctly vinous character, while Chardonnay brings freshness, lift and precision. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
In the glass, the wine opens with aromas of ripe pear, red apple, blackberry and citrus, followed by notes of toasted brioche, pastry cream, honey, roasted almond and subtle spice. The palate is broad and creamy, supported by a fine, persistent mousse and bright acidity. Flavors of orchard fruit, blood orange, salted nuts and warm toast lead into a balanced, satisfying finish.
Cuvée Prestige offers more concentration and complexity than a typical non-vintage Brut, while remaining fresh and highly approachable. It is an excellent introduction to Henri Goutorbe’s house style: fruit-forward, structured and generous, with enough energy to keep the wine elegant.
Serve well chilled as an aperitif or pair with oysters, smoked salmon, shellfish, roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, mushroom risotto, soft cheeses or lightly seasoned pork.
