Guido Porro Barolo Vigna Gianetto 2024 is an elegant and expressive red wine from Serralunga d'Alba, one of the most prestigious villages in Piedmont's renowned Barolo region. Produced by fourth-generation winemaker Guido Porro, this traditionally crafted Barolo showcases the distinctive character of Nebbiolo and the exceptional terroir of the Langhe.
The Gianetto vineyard features limestone and clay soils with a higher proportion of sand than Porro's other Barolo vineyards, producing a wine known for its aromatic elegance, approachable structure, and refined character.
Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, this Barolo typically offers enticing aromas of ripe cherries, wild strawberries, rose petals, and violets, complemented by subtle notes of spice, dried herbs, and earthy minerals. The palate is beautifully balanced, with vibrant acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a lingering, savory finish.
Following traditional winemaking practices, the wine is aged for three years in large, neutral Slavonian oak barrels, allowing the natural fruit and vineyard character to shine through.
An excellent companion to braised beef, roasted lamb, wild mushrooms, truffle dishes, and aged cheeses. With its elegant structure and aging potential, this Barolo is equally rewarding for special occasions and cellaring.
