Expressive and balanced, this Russian River Valley Chardonnay pairs vibrant citrus and delicate stone fruit with a supple, creamy texture. Fresh apricot, tangerine and lemon zest mingle with peach, honeysuckle and a quiet pastry note. Bright citrus brings lift to the palate and keeps the richness in check.

Planted in 1975 to Wente-selection Chardonnay, Olivet Lane Vineyard sits on sloping benchland in the Santa Rosa Plain, between the warmer Westside Road area and cooler Green Valley. Warm days, chilly evenings, coastal breezes and fog help preserve acidity, while well-drained loam and clay soils give this site its concentration and finesse. The long, cool 2023 season allowed fruit time to develop flavor without losing freshness.

Wine Enthusiast, 91 Points — The nose of this Chardonnay hits with aromas of tart citrus, green apple, white flowers, and a charge of flint. The palate possesses nervy acidity and pithy texture, with flavors of Bosc pear, cinnamon, lemon blossoms, and stemmy herb mélange through the finale.
