A bright expression of pecorino>Vinous 91 More savory than sweet, the 2023 Pecorino lifts from the glass with a thrust of wild herbs, crushed rocks and lime zest. Round and supple, this builds lovely tension through a core of saline minerality and citrus-infused green apple fruits. It finishes amazingly fresh and full of zesty tension, leaving a salty sensation and hints of young kiwi that linger on and on.
Winemaker Description
Pecorino is one of the most exciting new white grape varieties coming from Italy today, and Abruzzo is the source for many of the best. La Valentina's Pecorino is a delicious white wine 100% Pecorino in the Colline Pescaresi (hills of Pescara). A bit of aging on the lees adds complexity and weight to this wine.
Drink as an aperitif or with mollusk, shell fish, and Adriatic fish dishes with a strong flavor. Winemaker Description.

(Vintage 2022) 92 Points James Suckling | Pleasant blend of ripe yellow citrus and savory notes on the nose. Medium-bodied with the same balance on the palate, adding a bitter lemon note as the palate progresses, making for a savory finish. Salt and marsiglia in the aftertaste. Lots going on. From organically grown grapes. If you don’t know pecorino whites, here’s a good place to start. Enjoy now.
