Observing careful cultivation and vinification techniques, Domaine Matrot wines offer purity of fruit and terroir-driven character. The village of Maranges is the most southern appellation of the Côte de Beaune. The vines at Domaine Matrot are planted on steep marly limestone slopes facing south-east. The 2021 Maranges Vieilles Vignes is a robust wine full of charm and character, with rich fruity aromas and earthy complexity. Beautiful layered with concentrated red fruit and peppery notes on the elegantly refined finish.
"This is also aromatically beautifully fresh with a mix of red berries that are cut with plenty of earth character. There is slightly better volume to the flavors that are also on the lighter side that offer better overall depth and persistence on the clean, balanced and refreshing finale."
