Monica Larner writes: A field blend of 85% Assyrtiko and 15% Athiri, the 2023 Santorini Aα offers the structured tension of the first grape with the pretty floral aromas of the second. Athiri tends to be lower in acidity, but its presence gives a gentle lift and elegance to the bouquet. This vintage saw low yields and heat stress, but the results are even more concentrated and lovely as a result.
