Choose when time is of the essence
The nose is complex with aromas of citrus fruits, nuts, and yeasts due to lees aging. Notable mineral character. Medium to full body in great balance with the vibrant acidity and the alcohol.
Monica Larner writes: A field blend of 85% Assyrtiko and 15% Athiri, the 2023 Santorini Aα offers the structured tension of the first grape with the pretty floral aromas of the second. Athiri tends to be lower in acidity, but its presence gives a gentle lift and elegance to the bouquet. This vintage saw low yields and heat stress, but the results are even more concentrated and lovely as a result. The grapes are not destemmed before being pressed, and you perceive a hint of waxy richness on the close. Drinking 2024 to 2028. - Robert Parker Wine Advocate 92
