The estate of Isabelle and Denis Pommier was founded in 1990 when the young couple took over two hectares of family land in Chablis to produce their own wines. From the beginning, a strong respect for the land and the unique terroirs of the region guided their approach — using sustainable farming techniques (lutte raisonnée) before transitioning fully to certified organic viticulture. The red ladybug on their bright yellow labels signifies this commitment to natural farming. Today the domaine is one of Chablis’ most respected small family estates, producing wines of genuine mineral character and cool-climate precision.
Tasting Notes
The 2023 Chablis is round, attractive, rich, and fleshy — a wonderful expression of cool-climate Chardonnay. Classic Chablis character: crisp green apple, lemon, white flowers, and the signature flinty, oyster-shell minerality of Kimmeridgian limestone soils.
Food Pairings
Oysters, clams, grilled fish, sushi, seafood risotto, goat cheese, and light poultry. The benchmark pairing for classic Chablis.

Lettie Teague writes: This terrifically bright and tangy but also rather generously proportioned wine was sourced from several organically farmed sites.
-Wall Street Journal
Neal Martin writes: Plenty of appealing, ripe, sun-kissed fruit on the palate but with the acidity to keep in balance. Quite different from 2021 in style, will have wide appeal but perhaps less for Chablis purists. Drinking 2024 to 2032. - Vinous 90

Allen Meadows writes: This is also aromatically ripe and fresh with more citrus influence to the white orchard fruit, ocean breeze and quinine-scented nose. The plump, round and delicious medium weight flavors possess a finer mouthfeel while exhibiting slightly better depth and persistence on the nicely dry if not exactly crisp finale. This too should drink well young. - Burghound
