Winemaker's Notes
An elegant introduction to the remarkable wines of Domaine Faiveley, the Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2023 captures the charm, freshness and finesse of classic red Burgundy. Beautiful ruby-red in color, it opens with inviting aromas of fresh cherries, raspberries and ripe red berries.
On the palate, generous red-fruit flavors meet fine, rounded tannins and refreshing acidity. Supple yet well-structured, this Pinot Noir offers appealing depth, a silky texture and a beautifully balanced finish. Its combination of ripe fruit and Burgundian elegance makes it equally enjoyable on its own or alongside food.
About the Winery
Founded in 1825 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy's most historic and respected family-owned producers. Now guided by seventh-generation Erwan Faiveley, the estate has built an extraordinary reputation for wines that express the distinctive terroirs of Burgundy, from approachable regional bottlings to prestigious Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards.
Working alongside Technical Director and winemaker Jérôme Flous, Erwan continues to refine the estate's approach, emphasizing fruit purity, balance, precision and elegance.
The Vineyards & Terroir
Produced under the Bourgogne appellation, this Pinot Noir draws primarily from vineyard parcels in the Côte de Nuits, one of Burgundy's most celebrated red-wine regions. Carefully tended vines and traditional Burgundian vineyard practices help preserve the natural character of Pinot Noir.
The 2023 Vintage
The 2023 growing season in Burgundy produced beautifully ripe, expressive fruit. Domaine Faiveley's careful vineyard management and harvest decisions helped deliver wines combining generous fruit, supple texture and freshness.
Food Pairings
A versatile, food-friendly Burgundy that pairs beautifully with roast chicken, duck breast, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, herb-roasted pork, charcuterie and soft cheeses.
