Dry Red Wine
The 2022 Domaine des Tourettes comes from two prized vineyard sectors on the Hermitage hill: Les Bessards (7 hectares) and Les Grandes Vignes (2 hectares, highest vines). Fermented partly with whole clusters (80% for Les Grandes Vignes) and matured 15 months in Burgundian oak barrels (25% new), this wine displays remarkable elegance, structure, and complexity. Medium to full-bodied, layered, and refined, it’s approachable now with decanting but built to shine over the next decade and beyond.
Tasting Notes
A polished, energy-filled Hermitage with intense aromas of blackberries, cassis, leather, violet, and roasted spices, accented by licorice and mineral notes. The palate is dense yet lively, with velvety tannins, bright acidity, and a long, ethereal finish. Subtle smoky, woodsy undertones and structured stony notes give it remarkable precision and aging potential.

“A sleek, smoky, sultry red, with violet high tones gilding a dense, ripe palate of wild berries alongside a woodsy character. Polished tannins give this a solid frame… Best from 2026 through 2035.” -

“Complex roasted nose with deep red fruit aromas. Fleshy and elegant with restrained tannins. Polished, accessible, yet structured with a stony finish that reminds you who’s boss. Drinkable now, best from 2025.”
