Château Ste. Michelle is Washington State’s founding winery and the undisputed benchmark for American Riesling. For decades, they have championed Riesling as Washington’s most food-friendly and versatile white grape — and this Columbia Valley bottling is the proof. Sourced from vineyards throughout the Columbia Valley, fermented at cool temperatures (55–60°F) to preserve freshness and aromatics, and finished in a medium-dry style that balances a touch of residual sweetness with bright, refreshing acidity. At under $15, it is one of the most reliably delicious white wines in America. Wine Enthusiast awarded it 89 points.
The nose is immediately inviting: lemon drop, dried mango, and a white sour sugar note that is equal parts nostalgic and refreshing. On the palate, peach, mango, and mint flavors are accented by wisps of lime zest and the lychee, pear, and honey notes of elderflower tea. Medium-dry, with a clean, lingering finish and the kind of versatility that makes it work with almost anything on the table.
