Benziger Family Winery has farmed its Sonoma County estate biodynamically and organically for decades, and this Reserve bottling shows what that commitment brings to the glass. Made with certified organic grapes, fermented with native yeast, and aged in French oak, it's a small-production Pinot Noir that lifts aromas of tilled soil and sweet cherries from the first pour.
This Russian River Valley Pinot Noir opens with black cherry, raspberry, and a hint of sweet tobacco. On the palate it's savory, layered with still-fragrant dried fruit, earthy white pepper, and soft, elegant tannins that carry through a long finish.
