Exhibiting a garnet hue, the aromas are characterized by black fruit and hints of oak and herbs. Rich and bold with a medium body, the polished tannins and juicy flow lead to a savory finish."
Wine Enthusiast 91 Points | Cassis and raisin aromas announce a fully ripe, warm-year reserva with enough acidic kick on the palate to ensure balance. Blackberry and baked plum flavors benefit from said acidity, while finishing notes of cured beef and baked berry fruits confirm that this a ripe-style Rioja. Drink through 2024. "

Expert Reviews - Prior Vintage - 2017
Wine Enthusiast 93 Points | A bouquet of blackberry and chocolate-covered orange peel drifts upward from this inky garnet-colored wine. It feels juicy on the palate at first, with flavors of black cherry and raspberry that are quickly joined by notes of clove, bittersweet chocolate and black olives. Durable tannins linger in a fruit-filled finish. (2017).
James Suckling 91 Points | A tight and slightly chewy Rioja Reserva that delivers well-judged spice and new leather to the red plums and cherries on the nose. Medium to full body with some granular tannins that will soften more in two years. Best after 2024. (2017).
Wine Spectator 90 Points | A well-knit, medium-bodied red, with light, taut tannins trimming notes of crushed black cherry, baked fig and hints of dark chocolate, tobacco and mineral. Not a powerhouse, but rather fresh and elegant throughout, suggesting this is perfect for sipping or pairing with food. Drink now. (2017).
