Finca Iscorta is the crown jewel of Bodegas Hermanos Peciña — an 8-hectare single vineyard of 50-year-old bush-pruned Tempranillo that the family treats as their Grand Cru, producing wine only in years they deem truly worthy. The 2015 is only the second release; the next won’t come until 2019. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel with moderate extraction and a shorter maceration, the wine then spent four years maturing in used American oak, racked every six months.
