Antique Palo Cortado (20%, Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla) Nose: highly aromatic and very elegant, with orange marmalade and bright hints of lime juice. Some roasted almonds and hazelnuts. Marzipan and caramel.

It also shows a delicately exotic spicy side, with rose pepper, aniseed and hints of incense. Soft coastal notes as well. Mouth: full flavoured, very balanced. Not too dry actually, but with a nice salty tang and good acidity.

Liqueur elaborated by macerating the best coffees of Cerrado area (Brazil) with `Aguardiente de Orujo from Galicia ́ for 31 days. After this time, it is filtered and sugar is added until its perfect dissolution. Then, it remains at rest twelve months before being bottled.

A perfect blend of two wines: a dry, mineral and crisp. Fino sherry and a sweet and floral Moscatel wine. Intense and bright yellow colour with golden reflections. On the nose it shows floral, citrusy and herbaceous notes over a yeasty and mineral base. The finish is bitter and clean with a long, nutty and refreshing aftertaste.

100% Macabeau The vermut is a macabeu wine infused with wild field herbs and unripe green walnuts- the infusion is aged in a 60 year old solera

Herbal with notes of thyme and rosemary with reminiscences of spices like Cinnamon. Nice bitterness on the finish with caramel notes.

One of the main differences between this and other vermouths is the very low use of caramel. This results in a lighter, more fragrant and spicy vermouth with greater balance and complexity better suited to drinking straight as well as mixing in cocktails.

In Spain vermouth is drunk neat, with a slice of orange and an olive. This is how we recommend you drink it too. It is also delicious in cocktails as well as with ginger ale or soda. Salud! 

Producer Description 

This hazelnut colored, oxidized sherry showcases aromas of baking spices and dried candied fruits. It finishes dry with notes of fresh salt-roasted walnuts.

Cruz del Mar Oloroso is produced exclusively with palomino grapes grown by César’s family in the Balbaína and Miraflores pagos (vineyards). After harvesting, the grapes are crushed and undergo alcoholic fermentation in traditional cement vats, which naturally regulate the temperature.

Fuller-bodied musts are chosen for Oloroso, and after being fortified to 18% ABV., the wine is aged oxidatively in old barrels in a bodega in the heart of Chipiona. Cruz del Mar Oloroso spends an average of 12 years in the solera process before being bottled en rama, without fining or filtration.

Palomino Fino from Jerez-Xérès-Sherry, Andalucía, Spain; aged under flor, average age of wine is 5 years; medium bodied and dry, nutty and toasty with notes of almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts, layers of apple and earth with subtle hints of banana, caramel, and saline, a lemon citrus backbone, balanced acid, and a long dry finish.

Made from Palomino Fino grapes grown on chalky 'albariza' soils characteristic of Jerez, the grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel before fortification. The wine is biologically-aged under flor yeast in American oak barrels within a traditional solera system. The wine is around 5 years old on average, as soleras do not produce wines of a singular age due to continuous fractional blending over many years.

Using the classic Cardenal Mendoza Brandy as its base, Angelus is made by blending in the essences of the natural ingredients, principally bitter macerated orange peel and cardamom, and ageing the blend in butts already seasoned with Sherry to achieve perfect balance.

The intensity of the bouquet starts right with the pour as waves of prunes and raisins rise from the glass; air contact stirs deeper aromas, most notably orange rind, peppermint and roasted nuts. This rich, heavyweight brandy features layers of flavor, including cocoa, toffee, caramel, cream Sherry and oaky vanilla. Finishes as large and robust as it started.

Its appearance is bright, transparent dark mahogany with copper glints. 

On the nose it is clean, elegant and well-rounded with hints of the Sherry which seasoned the barrels.

On the palate it is beautifully balanced, warming and smooth while it has a very long finish where all the subtle nuances come together leaving a lasting impression of personality with hints of raisin and prune.

This vermouth is based on a Fino sherry with the addition of seven botanicals: wormwood, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel, savory and red fruits. It is clean, elegant and intense with concentrated citrus aromas perfectly blended with the delicious bitter touches of wormwood and savory.

It shows a persistent and long balsamic aftertaste due to the addition of red fruits. An elegant extra dry vermouth which clearly maintains its Fino origin. Ideal as an aperitif, served over ice with soda and in cocktails.

Gonzlez Byass was founded in 1835 by Manuel Maria Gonz lez and remains in family hands today, now in the fifth and sixth generation. Founded in Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia, in the heart of Sherry country, it is dedicated to the production of high-quality sherries. The Sherry triangle, made up of Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa Maria and Sanlucar de Barrameda, has a unique microclimate influenced by the surrounding Atlantic Ocean and Guadalquivir and Guadalete rivers.

Production is dominated by the Palomino variety, and vines are planted in the white Albariza soil, with high chalk content which is excellent for retaining moisture. These soil conditions, combined with over 3,000 hours of annual sunshine, fresh, humid breezes from the west (poniente) and warm, dry breezes from the east (levante) have formed the perfect marriage with the Palomino variety to produce an array of sherry styles. All sherries are aged following the traditional Solera system where the wines are blended in 600 liter American oak casks.

Many styles are produced with distinctive characters depending on whether they have been aged under the influence of the flor (a layer of natural yeast) or as an oloroso (in contact with oxygen). This Solera Reserva is the youngest Brandy de Jerez in the portfolio of Lustau. It is matured in casks that were previously seasoned with Amontillado sherry.

Light amber in color, with vanilla, toasted wood and orange marmalade aromas wafting from the bottle; the spirit is bone dry and smooth in the palate, with a long and nutty finish

The seasoning means that new oak casks are first filled with a young Amontillado sherry, which takes out the rough edges of the virgin oak and impregnates the wood with the Amontillado flavour, so to speak.

After that the Amontillado is poured out and the young brandy goes in. Like sherry, Brandy de Jerez is aged in a solera system which gradually blends and ages spirit of different ages.

Like most Brandy de Jerez, this Brandy Solera Reserva is distilled from Airén grapes (not Palomino), harvested and distilled in central Spain before it moves to Jerez for ageing.
