Producer & Terroir

Founded in 1825 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Faiveley brings generations of Burgundian experience to this village-level Vosne-Romanée. Erwan Faiveley and Technical Director Jérôme Flous combine traditional techniques with precise vineyard management and winemaking, emphasizing balance and appellation character.

Set in the Côte de Nuits between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vougeot, Vosne-Romanée is celebrated for its fragrant, finely textured Pinot Noir. For this bottling, Faiveley directly manages the vineyard work. Eastern exposure and limestone and clay-marl soils provide the setting for a wine that emphasizes refined fruit, structure and silky texture.

Winemaker Description

Winemaker's Notes, as supplied in the listing: A captivating expression of one of Burgundy's most prestigious wine villages, Domaine Faiveley Vosne-Romanée 2024 beautifully captures the elegance, seductive aromatics and silky texture that have made this celebrated Côte de Nuits appellation legendary among Pinot Noir enthusiasts.

Displaying a beautiful, intense ruby-red color, this refined Burgundy opens with inviting aromas of ripe red cherries, raspberries and wild berries, complemented by delicate floral notes, gentle spice and subtle hints of oak.

On the palate, the wine is supple, expressive and beautifully balanced. Layers of fresh red fruit unfold gracefully, supported by fine, silky tannins and refreshing acidity. Gentle oak nuances add complexity and texture without overwhelming the purity of the Pinot Noir.

Elegant yet offering satisfying depth and volume, the wine finishes with impressive harmony and lingering fruit. A sophisticated Vosne-Romanée that combines the appellation's characteristic finesse with the craftsmanship of one of Burgundy's most respected family domaines.

Winemaking & Aging

Traditional Burgundian red-wine techniques emphasize gentle extraction and the preservation of Pinot Noir's delicate aromatics. Approximately 14–16 months in French oak barrels, around one-third new, adds structure and subtle spice while keeping the fruit at the forefront.

Pairing & Serving

Pair with roasted duck breast, filet mignon, herb-roasted chicken, veal tenderloin or wild mushroom risotto. Mushroom sauces, truffle preparations and aged French cheeses also complement its fine tannins and fresh acidity. Serve at 57–61°F (14–16°C) in a generous Burgundy glass; a short period of aeration may benefit a young bottle.
