Burghound 89 points | There is enough wood and vanilla nuances on the citrus confit and poached pear scents. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the delicious middle weight flavors that display plenty of citrus influence on the agreeably dry, stony and sneaky long finale.

Wine Advocate: 94 Points | Richer and fleshier than the more incisive Gravières the 2020 Santenay 1er Cru Le Beaurepaire mingles aromas of crisp stone fruit and mandarin oil with hints of ripe pear freshly baked bread and hazelnut. Medium to full-bodied satiny and seamless it's fleshy and enveloping with racy acids and a long saline finish. As I wrote in that piece my first look at Vincent's 2020s from barrel in Summer 2021 convinced me that this is his finest vintage to date?and by some margin in the case of several cuvées?and when I returned to formally review them in November those early impressions were if anything strengthened. Jasper Morris: 90-92 Points | The same lemon and lime nose we have seen throughout. This plot was an acacia grove up to 20 years ago which has left deposits of phosphorus behind. Does this explain the lively floral style of the wine very racy with a lime infused backbone? Impressive persistence too.

Vinous: 90-92 Points | The 2020 Santenay Le Beaurepaire 1er Cru Blanc comes from limestone/silty soils. It is understated on the nose gradually unfurling to offer touches of freshly sliced apricot and a hint of patisserie. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and oddly texturally reminiscent of some of Chris Alheit?s single-vineyards (yes I know that is Chenin Blanc). Very fine persistence.
