Expert Reviews
Wine Advocate 90 Points: The latest rendition of Ruinart's NV Blanc de Blancs unwinds in the glass with scents of citrus zest, green apple, white flowers and fresh bread. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and incisive, with a vibrant core of fruit and brisk acids, complemented by a mouth-filling mousse, it concludes with a saline finish.
James Suckling 93 Points: A vibrant and refreshing Champagne with a bright, enticing nose of lemon (fresh and candied) and sliced pear, as well as some floral and passion-fruit notes. Lovely balance of juicy fruit and acidity that dances nimbly across the palate. A biscuit note from lees lies in the background. Delicate, silky and finish. A blend of wines from Côtes des Blanc, Montagne de Reims and Sézanne. Drink or hold.
Wine Spectator 93 Points: Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator: "Steeped apricot and candied ginger flavors are an aromatic entry for this graceful Champagne, backed by finely cut acidity and layered with accents of kumquat, toast point and salted Marcona almond. It's fresh and racy, yet there's an effortless quality to the integration that makes this hard to stop sipping. Long, minerally finish. Drink now through 2027.

Ruinart Champagne Brut Rose NV 750ml
Expert Reviews
94 Points Wine Specator | A classy rosé that glides across the palate, with flavors of raspberry coulis, yellow peach, chamomile and blanched almond that expand on the creamy mousse and linger on the lightly spiced finish, powered by mouthwatering acidity. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2026.
90 Points Robert Parker | The latest rendition of Ruinart's NV Brut Rosé is a pretty, vibrant wine that offers up inviting aromas of tangerine, blood orange, plum and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and precise, with tangy acids and a pretty mousse, it's ca harming, comparatively vinous wine that is already showing well.
92 Points James Suckling | The appeal of this excellent rosé Champagne begins with the nose of red berries, ripe nectarine, coriander and red roses. Striking balance of delicate tannins, animating freshness and just a touch of creaminess. Long, very clean and dry finish. The cuvée is 55% pinot noir from Aÿ (some fermented as red wine) and 45% chardonnay. Drink now.

Taittinger Champagne Brut Millesime 2015 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2015
Wine Spectator 93 Points | Vibrant and harmonious, with a pleasing range of ripe pear and nectarine, toast point and salted almond, candied lemon peel and spun honey riding the finely detailed bead. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Decanter 90 Points | A classic style with honeyed creamy, quince and spices aromas. Lovely palate with hazelnuts and toasty notes. Attractive long finish. Blend : 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir.
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Points | The 2015 Champagne Millésime Brut is equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The nose is fragrant with ripe peach and rose petal, and it has a rich texture, with a more viscous feel, and note of yellow flowers and Anjou pear. It speaks to the ripeness of the vintage, but it is long on the palate and has a light phenolic finish. I think this is ready to drink now.
James Suckling 93 Points | This is a vivid Taittinger with notes of chalk, almond croissants, lemon curd and biscuits. Bright and linear, with a tight bead of bubbles. Focused with persistent pastry notes. 50% pinot noir and 50% chardonnay; 70% Grands Crus and 30% Premiers Crus. Drink or hold.

Taittinger Champagne Comtes de Champagne Grand Crus Blanc de Blancs 2012 Gift Box 750ml
Expert Reviews
Wine Spectator 96 Points: A gorgeous blond bombshell of a Champagne, fragrant with roasted hazelnut, vanilla and smoke notes that waft through layers of poached pear and quince, pastry cream, pain d'épices and candied ginger. This is sculpted by a vibrant acidity that's seamlessly knit to the plush, silky mousse and chalky underpinning.
Wine Advocate 95 Points: The 2012 Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne is showing beautifully out of the gates, offering up demonstrative aromas of sweet golden orchard fruit, buttery croissants, peach and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and enveloping, it's a rich, textural, vinous Comtes somewhat reminiscent of the brilliant 2002. If it gains in tension and cut (as the 2002 did and as I suspect the 2012 will) with more time on cork, it will make this initial rating seem conservative.
James Suckling 99 Points: This is a fantastic and refined Blanc de Blancs. So layered and complex, with lemon curd, chalk, hazelnuts, pastries, baked apples and almond croissants. Structured and tightly wound, with almost imperceptible bubbles. Delicious salty notes at the end. Beautiful.

Valentin Leflaive Champagne Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut CV/18/30 NV 750ml
Our Professional Review
Oscar Garcia Moncada | 67 Wine: The Leflaive family name boasts a long and distinguished winemaking tradition in Burgundy, making it perfectly fitting for them to extend this tradition north to Champagne. In February, I had the pleasure of tasting through the Valentin Leflaive Champagne lineup and was thoroughly impressed by each cuvée. Among my top favorites is the Valentin Leflaive Champagne Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut CV/18/30 NV 750ml, crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from the grand cru village of Cramant and the premier cru village of Vertus in the Côte des Blancs. The base vintage is 2018, with a dosage of 3g/L, as indicated by the designation CV/18/30.
Winemaker Description
An elegant, fresh Blanc de Blancs from Valentin Leflaive that offers notes of yellow apples, candied lemons, freshly-baked bread and a clean salinity that lingers in the finish.

Veuve Clicquot Champagne La Grande Dame Vintage 2015 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2015
98 Points Tasting Panel | With 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay from eight Grands Crus, this marks the 24th vintage of La Grande Dame since its inauguration in 1972. And what a finely wrought vintage it is already, with verve equal to its supple polish. Joining Bosc pear, sweet brioche, and lemon curd on the nose are fascinating nuances of smoke, stony minerality, and petrichor as well as jasmine and ginger; while the rippling palate builds steadily through peach and Asian pear to pomelo and tangerine peel to tangy sumac and white pepper on the finish. Stylish as ever.
95 Points Wine Spectator | This graceful Champagne offers hints of smoke and toasted brioche that transition to patisserie apple and blackberry fruit, candied ginger and mandarin orange peel notes. Seamlessly knit and mouthwatering, with a minerally underpinning and a finely detailed, dotted bead. Lush and creamy on the vibrant, lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2035.
95 Points Wine Enthusiast | This fine Champagne is rich and beautifully structured. It is full with fine maturity, boasting layers of ripeness against the generous texture.

Golden-yellow in color, with a foaming necklace of tiny bubbles. It is pleasing to the nose; initially reminiscent of yellow and white fruits, then of vanilla and later brioche. Note the fine balance between the fruity aromas coming from the grape varieties and the toasty notes, the result of the three years of bottle aging. It is a true member of the Brut family, well-structured, admirably vinous.
Expert Reviews

Wine Spectator 90 Points | A crisp and lacy Champagne, with a hint of smoke underscoring flavors of poached apricot, pastry cream and pickled ginger. An overtone of Mandarin orange peel ties it all together.

Veuve Clicquot ROSE NON VINTAGE Brut Champagne 750ml
Winemaker Description
This non-vintage Rose is the end result of a desire to create a Rose champagne with a delightfully luscious, fruit-based charm. Jacques Peters, the cellarmaster, and his team wanted a champagne that would be accessible and naturally engaging while conserving Veuve Clicquot's essential values in terms of style.
The wine has a luminous color with attractive pink glints. The nose is generous and elegant, with initial aromas of fresh red fruit (raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry, blackberry), leading to biscuity notes of dried fruits and Viennese pastries (almonds, apricots and brioche).
Expert Reviews
92 Points Decanter | Light nose on the entry, then cherry blossom, smoked stone, lemon curd and salted cherry. Focussed and serious, great presence and length. Blend : 52% Pinot Noir, 18% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay
91 Points Wine Spectator | Minerally on the nose and lacy in texture on the palate, this layers tangy mandarin orange peel acidity with rich hints of toasted brioche and vanilla as well as flavors of wild strawberry, candied ginger and pastry cream. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Drink now.
91 Points James Suckling | Grapefruit color with aromas of cherries, strawberries, almonds, pastries and honey. Creamy and rounded, with a medium body and soft bubbles. All nicely integrated. Blend of majority pinot noir with chardonnay and meunier, with 12% red wine. 10g/L. Drink now.
90 Points Wine Enthusiast | A deep-colored rosé, as pink as its label, this Champagne is full of youthful fruit. It has a soft intensity of red fruits and ripe acidity in a full flavor
The fresh attack is followed by a fruity harmonious sensation on the palate. The wine is perfectly balanced in the best Veuve Clicquot style of pink champagnes, combining elegance and flair. The wine works its magic—this delectably full champagne can be enjoyed as a true delicacy. A deliciously fruity wine in earlybloom, this is a wonderful aperitif to be shared as a twosome or simply with friends.
Made using 50 to 60 different crus, the cuvee is based on Brut Yellow Label's traditional blend: 50 to 55% Pinot Noir, 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier, and 28 to 33% Chardonnay.

Julia Sheppard writes: Tasted in magnum, the nose offers yeasty bready aromas topped with fresh citrus, hints of stone fruit and strawberry tart. A palate of fresh croissants, red berries, green apple and lively lemon citrus, with the larger format lending lovely creaminess to the bright finish. Veuve Clicquot's iconic Yellow Label is a blend of 30% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier and 50% Pinot Noir, which provides the cuvée's signature structure. Up to 45% reserve wines in the blend ensure consistency. Drinking 2024 to 2030. - Decanter 91

A golden straw hue, it’s ripe with aromas of yeasty bread dough, peaches, and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied on the palate, it’s ripe and juicy with rounded red berried fruit, a supple texture, a pillowy mousse, and a warming finish. Fresh and inviting, this is a solid and consistent aperitif to enjoy over the coming several years. Drinking 2023 to 2026. - Jeb Dunnuck 89

Vincent Couche Champagne Brut Eclipsia 750ml
Expert Review
Roger Voss of The Wine Enthusiast 89 Points | This is a ripe wine. Pear and quince flavors are cut by lemon zest acidity, making for a fresh, rich wine that is well balanced. From vines in the Côte des Bar in the southern Aube region of Champagne, the wine has a warm, rich while still crisp character. Winemaker Description Vincent Couche’s story is perhaps a familiar one, especially in Champagne where the past two decades have seen a small but real revolution against conventional agriculture. Vincent’s parents were vignerons in the Aube.
Winemaker Description
20 years ago he made his first vintage, and in the 2000s, he began working the soil. As of 2008, Vincent has been certified in biodynamics, and is obsessed (to say the least) with farming living soils and making living wine.
His cellar work is marked by long, slow élèvages for the base wines, fermentations with native yeast, as well as both low dosages and low sulfur additions. His wines see as little manipulation as any Champagnes we’ve come across. 10 of Vincent’s 13ha are in Buxeuil, in the Aube.
This terroir is marked by kimmeridgian limestone soil that is more akin to the terroir of Chablis than to the terroir of the Marne. In fact, Buxeuil is not more than an hour’s drive from Chablis. Like the majority of vineyards in the Aube, Vincent’s Buxeuil vines are Pinot Noir. Vincent’s other 3ha are in Montgueux, the isolated chalk outcropping 5km from the city of Troyes, and are planted to Chardonnay.
This diversity of terroirs and duality of grapes, combined with Vincent's obsession with responsibly incorporating oxygen into winemaking ("wines are like people; if they don’t have oxygen, they die") results in wines that are broad and vinous in style, with with a rigid spine of mouthwatering acidity.
