Producer & Terroir

Founded in 1825 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Faiveley brings generations of Burgundian experience to its vineyards in Mercurey. Erwan Faiveley and Technical Director Jérôme Flous combine traditional craftsmanship with precise vineyard management, emphasizing aromatic purity, elegance and balance.

This white Burgundy brings together Chardonnay from approximately 3.03 hectares of south-facing parcels, including Les Montots and Bussière. Clay-limestone soils and vines planted in stages from 1984 through 2022 provide the setting for a fresh, fragrant expression of the Côte Chalonnaise.

Winemaker Description

Winemaker's Notes, as supplied in the listing: A beautifully elegant expression of white Burgundy from the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Blanc 2024 showcases the purity, freshness and delicate charm of Chardonnay grown in the historic vineyards of Mercurey.

The inviting bouquet reveals elegant aromas of orchard fruit and delicate white flowers. On the palate, this refined Chardonnay is supple, fresh and beautifully balanced, offering gentle fruit flavors, subtle richness and a clean, harmonious finish.

Less overtly mineral than Domaine Faiveley's celebrated Clos Rochette, Mercurey Blanc offers a softer, more fragrant expression of the appellation, with a graceful texture and refreshing character that make it exceptionally enjoyable both as an aperitif and with food.

Winemaking

Careful fruit selection and traditional Burgundian white-wine methods preserve Chardonnay's aromatic elegance. Controlled fermentation and thoughtful maturation emphasize fresh orchard fruit, delicate floral notes and a supple, balanced texture.

Pairing & Serving

Pair with grilled seafood, roasted chicken, pan-seared scallops, baked cod or sole meunière. Creamy mushroom pasta, vegetable risotto, goat cheese and lighter poultry dishes also complement its gentle texture and refreshing acidity. Serve at 50–54°F (10–12°C).
