Expert Reviews
The liquid within The Famous Grouse is very high quality and in fact one dram of The Famous Grouse is sold every three minutes in the UK making it the biggest selling whisky in the United Kingdom, so it must be doing something right. Now we have that cleared up…
Greg’s note: Very delicate, more so than expected, A hint of grain but not too much, there’s a sweetness there but not sickly, more subdued, like a warming dessert. A really good blended whisky for the price and one that a lot of people should reconsider. - GreatDrams.com

Producer Description
A blend of our rarest malts and most superior grains, matured to their peak, Johnnie Walker Blue Label represents our highest achievement. Blue Label recreated the flavors of the Walkers' early whiskies, in a bottle that also takes its design from the 19th century.

We draw these components from extradordinary casks, usually one in every two million. As soon as they're discovered, they're set aside for Blue Label and matured until their absolute peak - however long that may take.

“How can I find the flavour notes?”
Gone are the days of strictly drinking whisky neat – it’s time to break down the whisky category’s old-school traditions. For further exploration, we’d recommend exploring all the flavour profiles our blend has to offer through a series of more approachable serves.

Orphan Barrel Whiskey Co Foragers keep 26 yrs Single Malt 750ml
Producer Description
Forager’s Keep 26 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the latest release from the Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Co. It is the fourteenth release and the first single malt Scotch whisky to appear in the collection.
Perhaps the shortest lived of all Speyside distilleries, Pittyvaich—Gaelic for ‘farmstead at the birch wood’— was the innocent victim of industry restructuring. The distillery closed in 1993 through no fault of its whisky and has long since been demolished. Its pleasing single malt has never been widely available, though it has been proven to age well as none younger than 25 years of age remains.
Most closed distilleries have produced for decades, even centuries before their closure. Pittyvaich lived for a mere 18 years, making it one of the most rarely seen single malts of all. This rare, limited release Forager’s Keep 26 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky has lived longer than the distillery from which it came. It is the first of its kind for the Orphan Barrel Whiskey Co.

Compass Box Artist Blend Blended Scotch Whiskey 750ml
Producer Description
Compass Box Artist Blend is a tribute to Edinburgh and all of the painters and performers, writers and restaurateurs, who call it home. Scotland’s capital city and Scotch whisky are both ideal platforms from which to create beautiful things.
The vibrancy of Artist Blend will please the palates of the most discerning single malt enthusiasts, while exacting bartenders will appreciate its versatility.
We have suffused Artist Blend with fruitiness and texture, seeking out fragrant malt whiskies (approximately 55% of the recipe) from the Highlands of Scotland. By combining these with Lowland grain whiskies matured in first fill ex-Bourbon barrels, Artist Blend boasts a creaminess and lushness that makes it one of the most invigorating and pleasurable styles of Scotch whisky.
Whether sipped neat, used as the base for a cocktail, or paired with other tasty morsels, take your inspiration from the artist on the front of the label and allow your creative impulses free rein.

Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years blends big, classic Johnnie Walker flavors with intriguing contemporary notes of citrus and fragrant almonds. Michter's U.S. 1 UNBLENDED AMERICAN Whiskey 750ml
Producer Description
While Bourbon must legally be matured in new, charred American oak, Michter’s Unblended American Whiskey is a little bit different. Aged in used, whiskey-soaked barrels – and therefore not legally a Bourbon – this whiskey has a a more spirit-forward flavour profile rich in caramel popcorn, butterscotch and dried fruits, with a cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
Unlike Bourbon or Rye, which, by definition, must be aged in new oak barrels, our US1 Unblended American Whiskey is aged in a way that utilizes whiskey-soaked barrels to achieve a rich and unique flavor profile. In late 2013, then Master Distiller Willie Pratt agreed to re-release our US1 Unblended American Whiskey after a nearly three-year absence from the market, deeming it “just right” and “the best it’s ever been.” Crucially, our US1 Unblended American Whiskey never contains grain neutral spirits – hence its “unblended” distinction. Producer Description.
