Yann Alexandre Brut Noir Champagne (2020 Base)
Yann and Séverine Alexandre farm their vineyards in the Petite Montagne de Reims with a single goal: to produce Champagne as naturally as possible from healthy, fully mature grapes. Certified sustainable by OCACIA, their parcels grow on calcareous-clay soils with stones, flint, and sand — a varied geology that contributes freshness, mineral tension, and complexity. Each variety is vinified separately to preserve its individual character before the final blend is assembled: Pinot Meunier for generous fruit and suppleness, Pinot Noir for structure and depth, Chardonnay for brightness and energy. After approximately five years on lees in the Alexandre family’s cool cellar, riddled and disgorged by hand, the Brut Noir emerges with a fine, persistent mousse, subtle brioche and toast, and a long, chalky finish that is both rich and precise.
