"Les Clans" Whispering Angel Rose Provence 2024 750ml

Château d’Esclans has distinguished itself as one of the very few producers capable of crafting a rosé with this level of depth and concentration. In a blind tasting, many sommeliers and wine professionals might easily compare it to a fine White Burgundy such as Meursault or Chassagne-Montrachet. While beautifully expressive in its youth, this is also a rosé with the structure and balance to evolve gracefully with age.

Les Clans is produced exclusively from estate-grown grapes harvested in the cool morning hours to preserve freshness and purity. Upon arrival at the cellar, the fruit undergoes meticulous Optical Eye Sorting to ensure only the highest quality grapes are selected. Gentle crushing is followed by temperature reduction to 7–8°C to retain vibrancy and aromatic intensity. A closed-circuit pressing system minimizes oxidation and produces free-run juice, which is fermented and aged in 600-liter temperature-controlled oak barrels (demi-muids). Bâtonnage is carried out twice weekly over an eleven-month maturation period prior to bottling, resulting in exceptional texture, complexity and finesse.
