Winemaker Ntsiki Biyela has an incredible history as the first female black winemaker in South Africa. Her new label, Aslina, is named in honor of her grandmother. The Chardonnay is a pale straw color and full of lush yellow fruit with minerality and brilliant acidity.

Medium-bodied, the palate is fresh and clean, offering classic flavors of yellow apples and citrus blossom before ending with an uncomplicated finish. 20,000 bottles of this Chardonnay were produced from Stellenbosch and Elgin fruit, which were left on the lees for seven months before bottling.
