Tasting Notes
Floral and fruity with notes of citrus, gooseberry, and stones, underpinned by a beautiful chalky minerality from the caillottes soils. Precise and balanced with great acidity, this is a harmonious, “gourmet” Sancerre of real elegance and length.
About the Wine
A joint venture between the Frères Fleuriet and Stéphane Marchand, Renaissance is one of Sancerre’s most exciting organic and biodynamic producers. The name “Magie des Caillottes” refers to the shallow, stony limestone (caillottes) soils of Sancerre — a terroir that produces wines of exceptional aromatic elegance, ready to drink earlier than those from heavier clay or flint soils. No synthetic chemicals, no shortcuts — just the pure expression of one of the Loire Valley’s greatest appellations.
