About Cerro Añón Crianza
Bodegas Olarra is one of Rioja's most storied producers, and Cerro Añón is their flagship label — named after the iconic hill that overlooks their estate in Logroño. The Crianza is aged a minimum of 12 months in American and French oak barrels, followed by additional bottle aging, delivering the classic earthy complexity and structured elegance that defines traditional Rioja.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in color with aromas of dark cherry, dried herbs, wet earth, and subtle oak spice. The palate is medium-bodied with flavors of red and black fruit, leather, and tea leaf, supported by firm yet silky tannins. The finish is long, savory, and satisfying.
Food Pairings
A classic match for roasted lamb, grilled chorizo, Manchego cheese, slow-cooked beef stew, and hearty Spanish tapas. A versatile and food-friendly Rioja Crianza.
