The Whiskey Advocate 91 Points | Rademon Estate Distillery’s superb core whiskey has a nose of rye crackers, fresh oak, vanilla sponge, honey, bread crust, sultana, and golden syrup. It’s light to medium-bodied, with honey, cinnamon, and a big hit of rye spice, sweetening with vanilla, spun sugar, and golden syrup, setting up a push and pull between the rye and the sweet notes, before a finish of toffee, cinnamon, cinder toffee, and walnuts in syrup.

This whiskey has been double distilled on our copper pot stills, including one of the smallest whiskey stills on the island of Ireland. Aged in a combination of virgin chinkapin oak and ex-bourbon barrels. Non-chill filtered all natural colour.

El Tesoro de Don Felipe Reposado Tequila - Mellow and rich, with subtle wood tones. Reposado ("rested") tequila, by law, requires aging for two months. El Tesoro Reposado is exceptionally well rested. It's aged for eight to 11 months in oak barrels. Try sipping it straight up.

Dorothy Arzner made history when she became the first woman to direct a sound film, Manhattan Cocktail in 1928. Her directing career spanned the 1920s to the early 1940s. She launched the careers of many actresses including Katharine Hepburn and Lucille Ball. Later, in her teaching years at UCLA, she taught a young Francis Ford Coppola and gave him the confidence to become a film director. In honor of this free-spirited and independent woman were releasing a 3-year-old straight rye whiskey.

The black bottle design is inspired by the Nicaraguan tradition of Day of the Dead. In Nicaragua, in addition to the standard traditions of building a shrine and gift-giving, many people linger and sleep in the graveyard. They believe that this act re-enforces the emotional connection between them and the deceased.

Immediately quite soft with clean, fresh notes, faint hints of milk chocolate and lemon and then developing fragrant tea-scented smoke alongside nose-drying, maritime aromas, with subtle cereal.

A prickliness seen earlier now develops, while the trademark Lagavulin dryness emerges as fresh newsprint. Softly sooty. Softer, fuller and more rounded with water: it’s not hugely fruity but there’s just a trace of red berry preserve, perhaps, beneath the smokiness, which comes sharply into focus.

A soothing light texture, with a magnificently full-on Lagavulin taste that’s somehow even bigger than you expect; sweet, smoky and warming, with a growing, smoky pungency, then dry, with more smoke. Part of the “Karwinskiis” wild agave family, its production is very scarce and laborious, it matures between 12 and 15 years in wild conditions. Used in some places as fencing because of the tall, long stalks. Cuishe has a “barrel” shape root or “pineapple”. Abundant herbaceous notes with small mineral and fruity tones. Fresh vegetable flavor predominates with floral tones, such as geranium and green leaves, in which its unmistakably earthy notes of agave stand out.

One of the smallest wild agaves, it grows at around 5000 FT elevation on dry rocky soils on the southern mountains in Oaxaca. It needs the help of animals such as birds and bats to spread its seeds, making it harder to locate in the mountains. Very fresh and aromatic, floral, and fruity. With tones of wood, straw, wild grasses, and sweet notes of peppermint and eucalyptus with a hint of spice.

Hatozaki lighthouse in the city Akashi, is the oldest stone lighthouse in Japan, the distillery is very close. Owned by the Yonezawa family who have been distilling Sake since 1917.

The entry is perfectly balanced between ripe cherry meat and cherry pit with a dash of bittersweet juiciness; the midpalate features the juice more than the cherry meat and is delicious. Concludes clean, semisweet, intensely ripe, round, smooth as silk and perfect. Cherry brandy splendor.

The 18-98 Family Solera was founded in 2001, keeping aside every year 7 barrels of Grappa until 2014, thus reaching 98 barriques  dedicated to this product. The youngest spirit that is gradually introduced in the family solera has a minimum aging of 18 months in barrique. Since 2015 we created a blend of the various vintages, in order to obtain a Grappa featuring unique and unmistakable style throughout the years.

The Solera method is an aging system that allows the grappa to merge different years in a harmonious blend as the time goes by. The new vintage is introduced in the barriques located on the highest row in the aging cellar, while the Grappa to be bottled is taken from the row close to the soil (solera). 

The solera row is never emptied completely, but just a part of it, which will be replaced by an equal amount of Grappa coming from the second row, which will be consequently fulfilled by the third row and so on, with a series of successive passages. This way on the lowest row, a blend of older and older vintages is obtained.

The aroma recalls a little wooden box full of chocolate, vanilla, licorice and freshly roasted coffee beans.

Winemaker Description 

This sippable, dark gold Cognac offers aromas of butterscotch, dried apricot and golden raisins. The flavors grow even bolder and rounder on the exit, warmed by a cinnamon spark.
