Oscar Garcia Lead Wine Sommelier 67Wine.com | Pale straw yellow, bright reflection on the glass. Light-bodied with flavors of orchard fruit and dried herbs. Very clean mouthfeel with balanced acidity. The perfect white Rioja to serve as aperitif, or to pair with your favorite snacks: deviled eggs, vegetable omelette and Seabass Sashimi.

91 Points Bright and nervy nose with a mineral attraction to the pure, limey citrus and sliced green apples. Textured and medium-bodied on the palate with a pure, focused finish. (2022).

Pale yellow color. Medium aromatic intensity on the nose with aromas of spring flowers intertwined with pome fruit, pineapple and banana.A smooth and lively entry on the palate. The mid-palate is marked by the typical acidity of the wine. A fruity and long aftertaste, perfectly balanced, making it an elegant, fine and at the same time cheerful wine.

Pairs perfectly with fish, shellfish and all kinds of appetizers including ham. Winemaker Description.

Prior Vintages|

Wine Advocate 91 points | The dry white 2021 Monopole is a wine that has been produced since 1915, the oldest brand for white wine in Spain. It's classical with varietal character, young and fresh. The grapes, mostly Viura, were picked between September 21st and October 19th, and the wine achieved 13% alcohol, keeping a pH of 3.3 after fermenting in stainless steel, without using any oak, to keep the primary, fruit and floral characteristics of the grape. They consider 2021 a very good year for whites, with good freshness, but more heterogeneous, and Víctor Urrutia, CVNE's CEO, favors 2020 against 2021. It's primary, clean and fresh, with a tasty salty twist. Among the finest Monopole of recent years. Best After 2022

James Suckling 92 points |This has aromas of sliced pears, green tea, apples, fennel and lemons. Medium-bodied, crisp and clean. Crunchy stone fruit with a subtle herbal note. Refreshing. Mainly from viura. Drink now.
