This is a beautifully complex wine with elegant fruit and structure. J.K. Carriere Vespidae Pinot Noir is garnet in color. The nose is super effusive cherry, hibiscus, grilled meat, tan spice and cracked pepper. The flavors are massive and present as a cherry and peach pie with a one-minute too brown crust. The structure is quietly lurking, but unobtrusive.

Medium-bodied, it’s energetic and lifted on the palate, with a mouthwatering feel and fine, well-defined tannins. I love its texture, which has a crisp feel with notes of orange peel through the finish. It’s a more angular wine for this vintage, and I love it. Bright red in color, this wine represents the vintage well. Aromatically driven by cherry, strawberry, and Herbes de Provence with light green spice. Jeb Dunnuck 94 Points | A blend of the five estate vineyards and always 100% Pinot Noir, the bright ruby red 2022 Pinot Noir Cumberland Reserve is fresh with aromas of pure red cherries, wildflowers, pure spice, and forest herbs. Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points | The 2022 Pinot Noir Les Dijonnais comes from the oldest vines on the property, planted in 1995 with all Dijon clones. Bottled in late January of this year, the wine sports a vibrant ruby hue and shows off notes of wild raspberries, mixed berries, a hint of fresh violets, clove spice, forest herbs, and brambly earth. It’s chiseled in its structure, with coiled tannins and a good deal of youthful tension, and also offers mineral persistence, with wonderful salinity and dark undertones of earth. It demands another few years in cool cellars to soften and expand as it evolves and will drink well over the long haul. Drink 2026-2040. 590 cases were produced.

Planted in 1995, the Dijon block is now in its prime, delivering the complexity and elegance one expects from carefully tended twenty-six-year-old vines. The 2021 “DJ,” as it is known in-house, shows characteristic black raspberry and rose hip notes. Consistent with previous vintages, it displays Asian five spice, briar and even hints of blood orange coupled with a refreshing acidity and persistent finish. It is a superior vintage, one of the best of the decade. While the 2021 Les Dijonnais Pinot Noir is delicious right now, it will reward patience after a few years in a cool cellar.  Winemaker Description.

Tasting Panel 92 Points | A trio of appellations - the Willamette Valley, the Rogue Valley, and the Umpqua Valley, which contributed 63%, 23%, and 14% of the blend, respectively - define the unique flavor profile of this wine aged ten months in (20% new) French oak. Its scents of sweet tobacco, tilled soil, and ripe cherry are fetching. Bright cranberry is washed with cinnamon and layered with mocha, espresso, and pink peppercorn.

Bright aromas of ripe strawberry and raspberry open up on the nose along with a hint of cedar. Vibrant flavors of red cherry and cranberry follow, accompanied by accents of black tea and thy me, with a dash of pink peppercorn. Fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity provide structure and balance through the lingering finish.

It's scented of yellow apples, lemon peel, bread dough, cashews and beeswax. The light-bodied palate balances concentrated, nutty fruit with vibrant acidity, and it has a long, silky finish.  Drinking 2024 to 2034.

Clive Pursehouse of Decanter writes 93 Points | A core of lemon driven intensity the Résonance Willamette Valley bottlings are nearly as impressive as the single vineyard designates. This wine is a combination of the estate vineyards and some of the Willamette Valley's top sites. Aromas of sweet Meyer lemon blossom, fragrant gardenias, and smoky grilled lemon peel. The palate showcases a real vibrance of fruit, early season stone fruits, lemon curd and bright mineral elements. Crisp acidity yet richly balanced.  Drinking 2024 to 2034.

Producer Description 

This delightful, crisp and refreshing wine represents Alfredo’s family winemaking tradition rooted in northern Italy. The pale straw color is derived from fermentation in 100% stainless steel tank. Lime, delicate white flower and just a hint of lychee aromas are rounded out by fresh apple, pear and mineral notes on the palate.

The finish is long and zippy, slightly chalky with lemon peel. Excellent pairing for seafood, chicken and pasta.

The wine has bright tropical fruit, peach, watermelon, fresh apricot and notes of mango Hi-Chews that go into a long, mineral and citrus-driven finish. With less than 3 g/L sugar, this is a dry and acid driven style of gris that can be enjoyed on its own on a hot day – or better still, at the dinner table!

Tikka was Eric Lemelson’s Great Pyrenees dog who loved to patrol the perimeter of our Pinot gris vineyards this wine is a tribute to her. Tikka’s Run Pinot gris is sourced from Chestnut Hill Vineyard, our higher elevation site. At over 1,000 ft of elevation, natural acidity and freshness are preserved.

Winemaker Description

Fragrant and floral aromas of hibiscus and dried rose petal combined with bright cherry, dried cranberry, and just a hint of black licorice, are expressed in this classic Oregon Pinot Noir. A medium bodied entry instantly pleases and leads to a silky mid palate carried by dried Bing cherry, black tea, with light sandalwood and cedar notes. 

Well balanced, this wine’s body is supported by youthful yet integrated tannin and moderate acidity that lingers into a medium long finish. A direct and mouth watering Pinot Noir that promises to pair perfectly with both Wednesday night takeout or Friday date night!
