The Wine Advocate 91 Points | The very young white 2023 Bellmunt Blanc was produced with 60% Garnacha Blanca and 30% Macabeo from limestone soils and 10% Viognier from slate soils. It has a balsamic character, with notes of bay leaf and waxy apples.
It has contained ripeness, 13.5% alcohol, good freshness and a balanced palate for a warm and very dry year. It was bottled unoaked. 7,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2024.

Made using the grapes harvested from two, young white vineyards located in the Vall del Bellmunt. It is classified as a “Vi de Vila” (“Village Wine”) which means it is a wine made by a winery located within the municipal boundaries of the village of Bellmunt del Priorat, using vineyard plots which are located within the aforementioned village. Vines were planted in 2000 and 2008.

This wine is made with grapes harvested from the 20-year-old vines of the Vall del Bellmunt vineyard plots in the south of Priorat. These plots are mainly planted with Garnatxa (Grenache) and Carinyena (Carignan) grape varieties. It is classified as a “Vi de Vila” (“Village Wine”) which means it is a wine made by a winery located within the municipal boundaries of the village of Bellmunt del Priorat.

The young white wine from Mas D’en Gil Viticultors in Bellmunt is a Grenache-based wine complemented with a small proportion of Viognier. Grapes sourced from the younger vines planted in 2000 and 2008 and located in the Vall de Bellmunt.
Classified as "Vi de Vila" (Village Wine). This new legislation, introduced in 2009 by the DOQ Priorat, recognizes and protects each region’s different characteristics, such as viniculture, climate, soil, etc., with the purpose of highlighting their own characteristics.
Tasting Notes: Clean and fresh, with lively fruitiness, floral and mineral with revealing Mediterranean herb touches and a hint of spiciness. Excellent balance, finishing up fresh and lengthy.
Mas D’en Gil is a 125-hectare estate that has been in the Rovira family's ownership since 1998. It is located in the Bellmunt del Priorat district, in the southern part of the historic Priorat region. It contains 45 ha of vine-planted terraces and hillsides at 300 meters above sea level, with soils comprised of the distinctive Priorat slate soil.
