Winemaker Description 

Soft and mineral Chardonnay, from a small two acre vineyard planted in 1980. Fresh on the nose, with notes of baked bread, citrus and white orchard flowers, fuller on the palate with hints of yellow fruit, grapefruit and white flowers with a pronounced minerality on the longer finish.

Expert Notes

Neal Martin writes:  The 2023 Chablis Vaudécorse is much more expressive than the Vauclaire at the moment, a mixture of white and yellow fruit with a touch of flintiness underneath. The palate is quite attacking on the entry, tensile and focused. It gradually builds toward a cohesive and satisfying finish. This has similar potential to the excellent 2022.  Drinking 2025 to 2036.  - Vinous 91-93
