Herradura has set the standard. Then surpassed it. Tequila Herradura Reposado, meaning "rested," is aged for eleven months, nine months longer than the industry standard. Its deep copper color and rounded taste sets this Reposado apart, along with its signature aroma of spices. The tastes of vanilla, butter and agave work in unison to create a smooth and sweet experience. Tequila Herradura introduced the first Reposado to the world in 1974, creating an entirely new tequila category.
The color is a rich amber with shades of copper, from resting 11 months in American White Oak barrels. Aromas of warm notes of anise, fruit, and spices come through the central aroma of cooked agave. Surprisingly smooth Vanilla and butter flavors are peppered in the sweet, cooked agave. The finish is smooth and sweet with a hint of spice to keep things interesting.
