This beautifully aromatic wine draws you in with tantalizing notes of Mandarin orange, citrus blossom, lychee and guava, as well as hints of brioche, nutmeg, clove and vanilla bean. On the palate it is crisp and vibrant, with creamy textural undercurrents that accentuate the lush layers of lemon custard and tropical fruit, with notions of jasmine and melted butter lingering throughout the long, supple finish.

Erin Brooks writes: The 2021 Chardonnay Calesa Vineyard, matured in 35% new French oak, features intense lemon jelly and nectarine aromas on the nose with wafts of chalk and beeswax. The medium-bodied palate is wonderfully satiny and concentrated, its ripe fruit complemented by energetic acidity and well-integrated oak spices, and it boasts a lengthy, mouth-coating finish with soaring citrus flavors. 1,210 cases were made. - Robert Parker Wine Advocate 95
