Domaine Xavier Monnot Meursault Les Chevalieres 2022 750ml

From vines with an average age of 45 years. Lovely mid lemon yellow. Riper in bouquet but very charming. This Meursault Chevalières has a fine fresh mineral thread, and really excellent persistence. If the mid palate fills out a little more this could challenge for a fifth star.

"Fresh pale lemon. The bouquet is about elegance and finesse rather than weight. Fresh fruit on the palate, citrus and apple, white fruit behind, balanced and very long. Very Chevalières in style, even if unlike the Meursaults of yesteryear. All good, because this a substantial cuvee of 50+ barrels. Drink from 2026-2032."
