This wine is a modern nod to history. Aged in large vessels sealed with reeds, ingrained with the wisdom of the past. This pure expression of Cabernet Sauvignon evolves with each sip and gracefully unfolds on the palate. A slightly bashful beginning leads to an exuberant end. Having just oneglass will require some serious restraint.

Joe Czerwinski writes: The 2019 Cooper's Reed Cabernet Sauvignon includes fruit from young vines and high-vigor sites in St Helena, Rutherford and Calistoga. It's 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and 100% Napa Valley, not always the case for wines in this price range. It's minty, herbal and dusty, with cherries and tobacco joining in. Medium to full-bodied, it's bright, fresh and taut, with a crisp, slightly greenish edge to the long, racy finish.
