Winemaker Description

The 2018 Les Longues Voyes cuvée produced by Aurélien Laherte is a delicate and silky Blanc de Noirs, with a nice tension. This champagne will be perfect for an aperitif or at the table. The Pinot Noirs that make up this cuvée were harvested in 2018 and come from Premier Cru terroirs of the Montagne de Reims. 

The grapes were harvested at perfect maturity, pressed, then vinified in oak barrels with an aging period of 18 months. Malolactic fermentation is blocked to promote the expression of the terroir. After disgorging, the wine is dosed Extra-Brut at 2 g/L to preserve this great freshness. The nose reveals notes of black fruits, and the palate is lively, tense, fine, tasty and tonic. The wine is of great purity with a very persistent saline finish. This Les Longues Voyes 2018 champagne has superb aging potential.

It is balanced and has a refined mousse, with focused energy and eau de vie of black fruits, wet stone, and a fresh floral note that lingers on the long finish. It strikes a wonderful balance between power and finesse. Drink 2022-2040.

Aromatic, deep and exquisitely layered, the Longues Voyes is super-expressive today. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, white pepper, crushed rocks and bright acids lend vibrancy throughout.
