Benriach 12 Year The Smoky Twelve Three Cask Matured - distilled from a combination of peated and unpeated malt, this single malt is triple cask matured in sherry casks, bourbon barrels and Marsala wine casks for at least 12 years before being married together. Bottled at 46% abv, The Smoky Twelve takes all of its colour from the casks, with no artificial tinting.

This is a unique expression of Speyside with an elegant wisp of highland peat. It is triple matured in Bourbon, Sherry, and Marsala casks to give it a deep, nutty, fruity richness without being cloying. Aromas lean towards dried apricot, fig, and dark chocolate with a hint of tobacco and roasted hazelnuts underscoring the fruit. Comes off mid weight and medium dry on the palate with a delicate smokiness trailing on the finish. An exceptionally well-balanced dram.
