Wolffer Estate The Grapes Of Roth Merlot 2019 750 ml
Winemaker Description
The Grapes of Roth is Winemaker Roman Roth's private label, and a true testament to his classic, yet adventerous, wine-making style. Wonderful dark cherry fruit with well integrated oak, classic graphite and great minerality is complimented by a very savory and elegant finish.
Dark red brick in color. Elegant aromas of cassis and fine toasted sandalwood fill the glass. The mouth-feel is rich and concentrated, yet balanced with wonderful fruit of plumbs, prunes and amazing minerality. The finish has layers of ripe tannins and nicely toasted oak with fine classic earthiness, leather and iodine notes. The fruit and alcohol provide great length and make this a very special Merlot that possesses great aging potential and is the perfect partner with food.
This is a wine to be aged. It has a huge maturation curve ahead and will gain many more nuances and facets. Serve just at room temperature. Pair this Merlot with dishes you might think of for big, bold wines: steak, cassoulet, duck and decadent dark chocolate desserts.
Weis Vineyard Blaufrankisch 2019 750ml
Winemaker Description
Blaufränkisch, also known as Lemberger, is a beautiful varietal full of fruit and spice!
There's a reason this vineyards been winning awards. On the nose I get cassis with some rubber and a definite minerality. Some herbal notes are hiding in the background. The palate brings forth licorice and black raspberry with those currants. There's a slight jammy quality with great acid and some beautifully lingering tannins. It's deliciously drinkable for a cold winter night but light enough in body to sip all year round. Pair with barbecue ribs or a wiener schnitzel. Winemaker Description.
Brotherhood Winery Pinot Noir Hudson Valley 2018 750ml
Winemaker Description
Medium-bodied, with berry, tea leaf and earthy aromas characteristic of Pinot Noir. Dry, light ruby in color, with berry and cherry flavors and hints of earth and mushrooms. Great value, with real Pinot personality - perfect with broiled salmon, chicken and veal.
VINIFICATION TECHNIQUE
Best grown in cooler climates, Pinot Noir is well suited to many areas of New York State. Sourcing from a variety of growers, including our own Hudson Valley vineyard, helps Brotherhood achieve complexity in the wine while the warm fermentation and gentle handling of the fruit preserves the delicate character of Pinot Noir. Malolactic fermentation and extended barrel aging round out the wine.
SENSORIAL DESCRIPTION
Thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our winemakers, we have crafted this Pinot Noir in the style of a true Burgundian Pinot Noir. This wine is light brick red in color, has a nose of fresh berries and plums, with a hint of violets. It also displays bright fruit flavors of cranberry, cherry and black tea, which create a light to medium bodied wine with layered complexity staying true to form.
ACCOLADES
Highly praised by those who know Burgundy style wines, considered the gold standard for New York Pinot Noir! Recognized as the best Pinot Noir from New York at the 2010 Tasters Guild International.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Pinot Noir is considered the ultimate food wine because it complements everything from salmon to chicken, veal to beef and pairs perfectly with any dish that features mushrooms. Excellent with cheeses such as Brie, Jarlsberg and aged cheddar and is a natural partner for “Boeuf Bourguignon”.
Red Car Cabernet Sauvignon Mohrhardt Ridge Vineyard 2018 750ml
Expert Reviews
Jeb Dunnuck 90 Points | Lastly, this estate fashioned a solid 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Mohrhardt Ridge Vineyard, which comes from the Fort Ross-Seaview appellation, and you don’t see many Bordeaux varieties from this region. This inky-hued beauty offers lots of cassis and blueberry fruit as well as sappy green herbs, tobacco, and subtle cedar-like aromas and flavors. It’s medium-bodied and has ripe, building tannins, good overall balance, and a solid finish. It will benefit from another year or three of bottle age and should drink nicely for a solid decade. (2018).
James Suckling 93 Points | Aromas of plump red and black fruit. Full-bodied with structured tannins and rich, opulent dark fruit. Chocolate and spice on the palate. Smoke and ash at the finish. Very tasty. Drink now or hold. (2018).
Vinous 94 Points | The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Mohrhardt Ridge Vineyard is another super-distinctive wine in this range. A Cabernet of tremendous character and nuance, the Mohrhardt speaks with distinction. Rich, red berry fruit, rose petal, mint, spice and cedar infuse the Cabernet with striking inner sweetness and perfume. The 2019 feels unctuous and luxurious in the glass, and yet it has plenty of mountain savoriness. The Cabernet has so much sheer personality. -- Antonio Galloni (2018).
Francesco Rinaldi & Figli Barolo Cannubi RISERVA 2015 750ml
Winemaker Description
Francesco Rinaldi’s estate was first founded back in 1870, when he inherited a plot of land and vineyard house in the heart of Barolo. Though Francesco’s family wasn’t new to the winemaking game-- his cousin, Giuseppe RInaldi, was also producing great Piemontese reds that were completely shaking up the scene. Today, F. Rinaldi wines are produced only from organic fruit and are some of the best deals coming out of the region’s top growing sites.
Expert Reviews
Wine Advocate 93 Points | Revealing an open-knit and immediately welcoming personality the Francesco Rinaldi & Figli 2015 Barolo Cannubi offers a good taste of that inner sunshine and warmth that so beautifully defines this vintage. The Cannubi vineyard is one of the first sites to ripen and the wines tend to show enormous elegance and Nebbiolo fruit purity. This vintage is particularly successful in its showing of wild berry fruit rose hip and chopped mint. The tannins are silky and fine.
Vinous 93 Points | Today the 2015 Barolo Cannubi is an elegant classy wine. The Cannubi also seems to have handled the heat of the summer more gracefully than the Brunate. Silky and sensual the 2015 is very attractive today. The aromatics are perhaps just a touch forward but the 2015 makes up for that with its suave inviting personality. Crushed flowers mint licorice and sweet berry fruit add to the wine's charm. I wouldn't push my luck on aging too much but the 2015 is undeniably appealing. -- Antonio Galloni
Vietti Barolo LAZZARITO 2017 750ml
Winemaker Description
Deep garnet red color. Fascinating and deep on the nose. Notes of hay, cut grass, tobacco, white pepper and wild mint. Robust, muscular on the palate, with a taut and mineral finish. The tannins are typical of Serralunga: angular, austere and very deep. Appealing lingering sweetness on the finish.
Expert Review
97 Points Jeb Dunnuck | From the southwest facing amphitheater of Lazzarito in Serralunga d’Alba the 2017 Barolo Lazzarito was aged for 30 months in a combination of large oak casks and barrique. The nose is layered with elegant spice and floral notes of cedar, red plum, and brushed leather. There is incredible balance within its structure, which has deceptive ease for early drinking. Hold 3-5 years or drink 2023-2046.
96 Points James Suckling | This is very chewy and powerful with lots of velvety tannins that are firm and intense. It’s full and flavorful with strawberries and tar. Bark undertones. Flavorful finish. Needs time to soften. Try after 2024.
95 Points Wine & Spirits | Floral and juicy, laden with cherry and berry flavors that feel tangy and even crunchy, this shows no signs of the dry heat of the vintage. The refined tannins dovetail with notes of graphite that lend a cool firmness to the ripe fruit. The wine packs plenty of power, yet the freshness and balance are impressive.
94 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate | The Vietti 2017 Barolo Lazzarito draws its fruit from Serralunga d'Alba and reveals a luminous garnet color. Compared to some of the others in this portfolio, the wine takes a little longer to open and express itself. It does, however, unfold to dark cherry, redcurrant, grilled herb, iron ore and candied orange peel. You need to give your glass a few extra vigorous swirls. Those rusty mineral notes build in intensity and drive the wine's medium-long finish.
94 Points Wine Spectator | A taut, structured Barolo, offering aromas and flavors of plum and cherry fruit shaded by accents of tobacco, iron, green tea and leafy underbrush. This is firm and gains power on the long finish. Best from 2025.
Diamantis Winery Magoutes, Moschomavro, Siatista Macedonia 2019 750ml
Our Professional Review
Debra of 67Wine.com | This Moschomavro, which translates to Black Muscat, is a Greek indigenous varietal exclusively grown in this lesser known appellation Siatista, north west Macedonia. This fragrant wine has wonderful fresh, bright berry fruit complimented with dark berry fruit, herbal, savory and zesty flavors . It is medium bodied, approachable, harmoniously balanced with supple tannins, acidity and a nice lingering finish. This wine is made with minimal intervention , a hands off approach, capturing a pure expression of this varietal character. A great wine for the adventurous and those who enjoy Nebbiolo and old world pinot noir.
Pair with grilled meats, poultry, roast chicken.
Winemaker Description
Magoutes winery, run by Dimitris Diamantis, is located in the old but forgotten region of Siatista in the mountains of northern Greece. Moshomavro means 'black muscat' but is no relation in parentage or flavour!
Delicate, floral notes with woodland hints. This is like drinking bone dry Beaujolais with nice grippy tannin. Moshomavro is incredibly rare, all new plantings come from Diamantis's original plantings. This pretty example is so balanced. It sings out with its strawberry fruit, interleaved with rooibos tea! Unlike any gentle red we've ever come across!
Diamantis Winery sits in the rugged, mountainous north-western hinterland of Macedonia. A place of stark beauty and cool climate which, unlike most of Greece, sees no sea- softening maritime influences from either the Aegean or Ionian by virtue of its high, inland isolation. In this landscape sits Siatista, a town whose history with vines runs back to at least 1670, although since records have been lost or destroyed by various revolutions, wars and conflagrations both specifically in western Macedonia and Greece more generally, the true length and breadth of the viticultural history of this area is somewhat obscured.
Arnot Roberts Cabernet Sauvignon Fellom Ranch Santa Cruz 2018 750ml
Expert Review
Vinous 93 points The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Fellom Ranch is the most reticent of the Arnot-Roberts Cabernets. Intensely savory and earthy, the 2018 offers quite a bit of intrigue, but it will require considerable cellaring. Cedar, spice, tobacco and dried herbs lend notable complexity to the dark fruit flavors. The natural concentration of small berries with little juice and high solids gives the wine its dense, brooding feel. (AG) 93+
Villa di Capezzana Ghiaie della Furba Toscana 2017 750ml
Winemaker Description
This wine is intense ruby red in colour with youthful highlights. On the nose, there are notes of almonds, violets and oranges which are intertwined with aromas of coffee and vanilla. It is a full-bodied wine with well-balanced acidity.
The rounded tannins from the Sangiovese are lifted by the cassis concentration of the Cabernet on the long, concentrated finish.
Expert Reviews
James Suckling 93 Points | Blueberries and blackcurrants with bark and licorice. Full body and round, chewy tannins. This is very fresh and bright with some sage and stone character. From organically grown grapes. Needs time to soften. Drink after 2023.
Vinous 92 Points | The 2017 Ghiaie della Furba opens to a bouquet of minty herbs, camphor and smoke before deepening further to display dusty red currant and spice box. This is velvety and fleshy in feel, with stimulating acidity that enlivens its spicy black fruit and building mineral tones. It tapers off with persistence, power and grippy tannin, the perfect mix for a long evolution. The Ghiaie della Furba is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah and 20% Merlot that refines in barrique, half new and half second pass. It's important to note that production was down by 40% in 2017 due to trost.
Domaine Chapel Chiroubles 2021 750ml Beaujolais
Winemaker Description
David Chapel has been immersed in the world of winemaker since his childhood. Overnoy, Lapierre and many others, friends with David's late father Alain Chapel, a renowned Michelin-starred chef, have shared their table and their knowledge with him. It is therefore natural that he decides, after a few years of sommelier training, to start his own business in Morgon, at the Lapierre family.
There he met Michele, an American sommelier on a visit; after a stint in New York, they decided to return to Beaujolais and settled in Regnie-Durette in 2017.
After a 2016 vintage vinified in Morgon, 2017 marked their big debut, picking up grapes and vines from Julienas, then from Chiroubles, Fleurie and Lantignie in 2018. A non-interventionist approach and winemaking that respects local traditions results in wines that are crisp, fresh but with all the depth of the great Beaujolais wine.
Bussola TB Amarone Classico Riserva 2012 750ml
Winemaker Description
Fantastically hedonistic, offering great velvety richness on the palate and exotic notes of black cherry, cocoa, and ash. The Riserva is a selection from the estate's best fruit.
Expert Reviews
Eric Guido of Vinous writes 94 Points | The 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico TB is surprisingly lifted and airy on the nose, with licorice-tinged cherries and rosy florals. This impresses with a push and pull of savory and sweet, as well as a bitter twang of cocoa and spice that further accentuates the ripe berry and plumy fruits within. The contrasts are quite appealing, as a mix of saline-minerals and juicy acids help to add both depth and freshness further accentuated by a hint of sour citrus. Fine tannins linger and also balance the expression through the long and balsamic finale. The 2012 is just a baby today, so give it at least a few more years to come into focus. Drinking 2024 - 2034.
James Suckling 94 Points | This is a structured and solid Amarone, with dried fruits, sultanas, figs and iron. It’s full-bodied, yet compacted and tannic with a long and persistent finish. One for the cellar, but already impressive to drink. James Suckling 94
Alison Napjus of Wine Spectator writes 93 Points | Both juicy and mouthwatering, this rich red shows a lot of personality, offering layered flavors of blackberry pie and raspberry ganache, hints of espresso and sweet smoke, plus fragrant juniper, eucalyptus, lavender and leather accents. Features firm, well-meshed tannins, with creamy edges that meld into the silky flavor range. Drink now through 2035.
Monica Larner of Robert Parker writes | The Bussola 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva TB (in a heavy glass bottle) is a determined wine with lots of extra power and brawn. The wine shows sweet, air-dried fruit with baked plum and cherry confit. The alcohol content clocks in at 17%, which is way too much on any scale. Despite the high alcohol reading, the wine is still tastes sweet. Drinking 2022 - 2035.
Red Schooner Transit No 2 750ml
Winemaker Description
Red Schooner's new "Red Wine of the World," this red blend is sourced from famed regions of southern Australia, the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. Consisting of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon, Transit 2 is bold yet nuanced, featuring scents and flavors of dark fruit, black pepper, leather and vibrant raspberries.
A hint of mint stems from the region's native trees. Just like our Red Schooner Malbec from Argentina is known by the "voyage" that produced it, this wine is called a sequential "transit."
Peter Zemmer Vernatsch Schiava 2021 750ml
Domaine Fontaine Gagnard Chassagne Montrachet ROUGE 2021 750ml
Expert Review
Burghound | Here the nose is somewhat reduced, probably due to the very recent bottling. Otherwise, there is both good verve and freshness to the slightly more concentrated medium weight flavors that deliver a bit more persistence on the delicious and inviting finale. This could use better depth though more should develop if given 2 to 4 years of keeping.
Domaine Anne et Herve Sigaut Chambolle Musigny Les Bussieres Vieilles Vignes 2021 750ml
Winemaker Description
Anne Sigaut told me that 2021 "had the growing season from hell because even putting aside the problems that the frost caused, the constant wet weather made our life difficult. It was often impossible to get tractors in the vineyards to treat and the vines didn't have their normal resistance to what turned out to be very intense disease pressure. We soldiered on but in the middle of July, I confess to wondering if we were going to have a harvest.
As it turned out, we did and it began on the 20th of September. Yields were variable but basically off between 30 and 50% as we rejected a lot of fruit though mostly for being underripe. Potential alcohols came in between 12 and 13% and we chose to vinify lightly to be sure we weren't extracting astringent elements. Funnily enough, the quality of the resulting wines is much better than I imagined and I quite like them. With that said, had you asked me what I thought the quality would be when we started picking, I would have given a different answer!" I agree with Mme Sigaut that her 2021s are really quite good and there are several that are worth your attention.
Expert Review
Burghound 89 Points | Firm reduction pushes the fruit to the background at present. Otherwise, there is slightly better mid-palate volume to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that are less refined though noticeably more powerful and more complex on the balanced, firm and solidly persistent finale. This is half Chambolle and half Morey in character and is worth considering. Outstanding ♥

Clendenen Family Rancho La Cuna Santa Maria Pinot Noir 2017 750ml
Winemaker Description
The Clendenen Family Pinots are not simple fruit bombs. There is so much more going on, so many varied flavors all in one wine. This well structured Pinot shows aromas of cherry, plum, root beer, black tea, cola, and mocha that are joined on the palate by flavors of clove, tea and spicy sausage. It is a rich wine, and the richness carries through to the finish.
Expert Review
92+ Points Wine Enthusiast | Quite light in the glass, this bottling from Jim Clendenen's home ranch hits the nose with baked cherry, vanilla, mushroom and flinty struck stone aromas. There's a quick tension to the sip, where brisk raspberry, oak smoke and bay leaf ride a fine structure.

Vinous 88 Points | The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge offers lilting red cherry and wildstrawberry scents on the nose, hints of rose petal coming through with aeration. Domaine Maratray Dubreuil Aloxe Corton 2020 750ml

Cascina Baricchi Barbaresco Riserva Rose delle Casasse 2016 1.5 Liter MAGNUM
Winemaker Description
Barbaresco Riserva Rose delle Casasse is one of the most distinctive wines in all of Piedmont. It emerges from a tiny parcel in Neive first planted in 1913 with the Rose clone of Nebbiolo known for its aromatic intensity, that is rarely seen these days. Deeply bright and perfumed, offers up an exotic mélange of sweet red cherry, blood orange, mint, spice, rose petal and kirsch.
The hills on which Cascina Baricchi stands are formed by a background of light earth, ideal for the production of high quality wines and for aging. The ideal terroir is completed by the conformation of the morphology of the hills which creates a truly unique microclimate; in particular the vineyards face south so as to be kissed by the sun for most of the day and undergo high temperature changes during the night which allow to obtain wines with elegant aromas and perfect maturity of the tannins.
The company's approach is absolutely respectful of the environment, in fact it prefers to intervene as little as possible, and always in a natural way, to help the plant when it really needs it and make it grow strong; same basic ideology in the cellar, where fermentations are spontaneous. Winemaker Description.
Expert Reviews
Vinous 94 Points | The 2016 Barbaresco Riserva Rose delle Casasse is a fine follow up to the stellar 2015. A bit more austere than its older sibling, the 2016 presents a distinctly savory profile redolent of crushed flowers, herbs, mint, spice, leather and tobacco, while the fruit is pushed into the background. Naturally, it will be interesting to see if some of that inner sweetness emerges in time. A few months separating two tastings suggest that may very well happen. This is such a gorgeous wine.
Domaine de Montille Beaune 1er Cru Les Perrieres Organic Biodynamic 2020 750ml
Expert Review
Jasper Morris MW91-93/100 Points | Rich fresh ripe purple. Grown on white soil, so was picked early, but as it happens the Perrières underwent a late malolactic and has not yet been sulphured. One third whole bunch, from the very old vines. Definitely a peppery note which is actually welcome given the opulence of the fruit. 13%. Definite structure at the back but better integrated. I really like the perfume that stays behind in the glass.
Domaine Bertrand et Axelle Machard de Gramont Vosne Romanee Les Barreaux Organic 2020 750ml

Rocca di Frassinello Le Sughere di Frassinello 2015 TUSCANY 1.5 Liter MAGNUM

Wine Spectator 90 Points | A bright, fruity style, with elements of earth, wild herb and menthol adding interest. Fluid and moderately long, featuring beefy tannins. Sangioveto, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Wine Advocate 91 Points | The 2015 Maremma Toscana Le Sughere di Frassinello is a great value blend of 50% Sangioveto, 25% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon (aged in French oak for one year). This wine boasts a proven track record for its consistent value and accessibility and can be counted on for both. It releases a steady flow of dark fruit and spice aromas that build in momentum. The mouthfeel is generous and softly velvety in texture, especially in this warm vintage.
James Suckling 92 Points | A juicy and ripe red with dried berry and chocolate. Medium body with chewy and soft tannins. Flavorful finish.

Wine Advocate 97 Points | The Francesco Rinaldi & Figli 2016 Barolo Riserva Cannubi is a classic beauty with thin, delicate lines that frame a core of profound and very elegant fruit. You can attribute many descriptors to the bouquet, from wild berry, pressed rose, earth, rust, crushed rock and light spice. But no one aroma out-powers the next, and together they work in careful harmony. It's also important to point out the quality of the tannins in this Riserva, which remain elegant and firm. This bottle is a great candidate for long cellar aging. 97+ (ML) (8/2022).

Hope Well Pinot Noir Sunday's Child Eola-Amity Hills 2019 750ml
Winemaker Description
The people of Hope Well are as strong and consistent as the land itself. I was so lucky as a child to grow up amongst people I now work beside, who care deeply about their work and know intimately the unique qualities of this place. The gift of steady and constant care over many years is invaluable. Our relationships, our relationships to this place we all love and work together, those are just some of the many benefits of committing to people and people committing to place. These are my people, my family, my friends, and they are the great heart that beats in Hope Well.
Mimi is the daughter of Ted Casteel and Pat Dudley, co-founders of Bethel Heights Vineyard. Growing up working in the vineyard and winery, Mimi gained such an appreciation for the industry that she promptly left home after high school. Armed with a BA in History and Classics from Tulane University, Mimi spent the next year working in various National Forests across the west. Her adventures fueled her passion for studying botany, forestry, and ecology. Mimi earned her MS from Oregon State University in Forest Science, and spent the next several years working as a botanist and ecologist for the Forest Service, living in the backcountry. She could never get past the longing for the vineyard, and working with the vines. Mimi returned to Bethel Heights in 2005, along with her cousin and childhood best friend Ben to take the helm as second generation winegrowers and owners. In 2015 Mimi left Bethel Heights to focus on her wine, her farm and vineyard, Hope Well, and also works with the amazing team at Lingua Franca on their vineyards and farm.
Wine Notes: The three children were born from a single lot of Pinot noir, a few rows of perfectly ripe fruit from all corners of the vineyard combined into one lot in the field, then separated at birth into three parts before vinification.
Sunday’s Child went through a fully traditional Pinot noir maceration, on skins until dryness, and then to barrel to sleep for the next ten months.
Pala Centosere CANNONAU di Sardegna 2021 750ml
Winemaker Description
Intense ruby red colour with violet hints, very clear. Very intense, with vegetable and spicy hints, light liquorice nuance. Dry and smooth to the palate, enjoyably fresh, well balanced and harmonious, good nose-palate persistence.
Matching and service – Lean starters, dry and liquid soups even with savoury sauces, grilled and pan cooked meat, goat and sheep medium seasoned cheeses.
There are no studies on the Monica vine capable of identifying its exact origin. What is certain is that it was brought to Sardinia and planted in 1400 by the Camaldolese monks around their monasteries.
From here, grapes of the monks, grapes of monks and then Monica … many theories, many memories of other vines that the character of Sardinia has transformed and adapted. Today Monica is a perfectly integrated son of Sardinia, the south-eastern part is his land of choice… and therefore at home in the Pala family.
Oltreluna has the spirit and character of Sardinia where the vine lives and breathes, but retains a small and intriguing memory of its mysterious origin. Kind like its name, but extraordinarily complex like the land that hosts it. It is the moon that is reflected on a silver sea in the blue of the night, it is a journey that has begun and is always evolving… it is thinking about the character of wild Sardinia with an extraordinary and elegant versatility.
Grapes – Monica 100%.
Domaine Dominique Gallois Bourgogne Rouge 2019 750ml
Our Professional Review
Bart Hopkins of 67Wine.com | Juicy, round and succulent, with enticing cherry and raspberry fruit, delicately wrapped with gentle tannins. Priced like a Bourgogne, drinks like a Gevrey!
Winemaker Description
Sliced plum, dark currant and pungent earth and sauvage nuances. There is more volume, power and muscle to the bigger-bodied flavors that possess excellent underlying tension, all wrapped in a youthfully austere and very saline-inflected finale. Winemaker Description.
Domaine Meo Camuzet Corton Les Perrieres Grand Cru 2019 750ml
Expert Review
Burghound 91 Points | This is also relatively cool and restrained with its nicely layered nose of ripe red currant, game and whiffs of spice and earth. The caressing and gorgeously textured larger-scaled flavors that are quite finely balanced and more mineral-driven on the sneaky long finish. In contrast to the typical example of Corton, the mouthfeel is almost delicate and overall, this is lovely.
Domaine Meo Camuzet Echezeaux Grand Cru Les Rouges Du Bas 2019 750ml
Expert Review
Burghound 93 Points | Ultra-spicy red and black berry aromas combine with those of jasmine tea, violet, star anise and discreet oak. The succulent, rich and delicious flavors possess excellent volume and mid-palate density while exhibiting a subtle minerality on the firm, serious and built-to-age finale that also flashes a touch of warmth. This is terrific and in 2019 it is a bit more elegant than usual.

Domaine Michel Magnien Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru Climats d'Or 2019 750ml
Expert Review
Burghound 90 Points | Like the Millandes, the whole cluster vinification shows on the cool, pure and restrained aromas of red currant, dark berries, humus and an earthy whiff. The tautly muscular and impressively intense medium weight flavors exude plenty of minerality on the seductive yet quite serious finish that leaves little doubt that this will need at least 10 years to arrive at its apogee and should reward 12 to 15.
Cascina Baricchi Barbaresco Riserva Rose delle Casasse 2016 750ml
Winemaker Description
The Rose delle Casasse is likely, the only Barbaresco made from Nebbiolo Rose. Some believe Nebbiolo Rose to be a clone of Nebbiolo though in Ian d'Agata's book, "The Grapes of Italy," he writes that it has been proven that Nebbiolo Rose is genetically different from Nebbiolo, though related.

Jeb Dunnuck 93 Points | The 2016 Barbaresco Riserva Rose Delle Casasse is made entirely from the Rose clone of Nebbiolo and is fresh with wild raspberry, pine, and dark earth. Carrying to the palate with medium body and good concentration, it offers fine tannins and a good finish, with peppery spice and red cherry. Perfectly pairing with salumi and hard cheese, it is refreshing and cleanses the palate nicely.
Far Mountain Fission Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Valley 2019 750ml

James Suckling 93 Points | This is a balanced red, showing blackberry and bark with chili and some herbs. It’s medium-to full-bodied with nice drinkability and a succulent, flavorful finish. Iodine, pine needles, slate and graphite undertones. Subtle.
Vinous 93 Points | The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Fission emerges from Alta Vista, on Moon Mountain. A dark, potent wine, the 2019 captures plenty of mountain energy in its savory, earthy flavor profile. Dark cherry, mocha, spice, new leather, licorice and chocolate all flesh out. My impression is that less new oak and longer élevage might bring out even more character. This is certainly an impressive debut from Mai Errazuriz and Rodrigo Soto. (AG)
