This red comes from volcanic soils from estate vineyards in the foothills of the Caiatini Mountains. You can truly sense the effect of the volcanic soils in the mineral character of the wine.
The body is full with matching acidity, and dry. Roughened chewy flavors of dark plums, blue fruit, black cherry, earth and wild herbs combine with the food-welcoming acidity.
