Domaine Gerard Boulay Sancerre LA COTE 2022 750ml

The Boulay family have nine hectares in the famed Sancerre village of Chavignol, and can trace their history as grape growers in the village back to 1380. Vineyards are planted in Kimmeridgian-centric soils, including the famed "crus" of Monts Damnés, La Grande Côte, and Clos de Beaujeu.

Boulay has been farming organically since 1990 and harvests everything by hand. Natural yeast fermentation in 300L barrels (no new wood). Aged on the lees in a combination of barrel (300L, no new wood) and tank, then bottled unfiltered in July.

First crafted in the 2010 vintage, Gerard's old vine parcel in La Cote (referred to by the Cotat brothers as La Grande Cote) produces a wine of incredible precision, power and laser sharp minerality...Boulay's signature style!
