Tissot Poulsard Vieilles Vignes is a biodynamic red wine made by Domaine André et Mireille Tissot with the Poulsard native variety in AOC Arbois (Jura).

Benedicte and Stephane Tissot are the owners of Domaine André et Mireille Tissot, a winery that covers 32 hectares in Jura, an old mountain range that draws a splendid natural border between France and Switzerland. They are champions of native varieties and natural practices, and have held the Ecocert organic certificate since 1999 and the biodynamic Demeter certificate since 2004. As a result they offer mostly single-variety wines, made on the estate itself, that are precise and complex with great aging potential.

Tissot Poulsard Vieilles Vignes comes from two plots of old, biodynamically grown vines with an average age of 68 years. They do not use any herbicides or plant protection products. Instead, they use organic fertiliser that they make on the estate, as well as infusions of plants, sulphites and copper. The grapes are harvested manually and placed in boxes.

Tissot Poulsard Vieilles Vignes grapes go through a strict selection process and are manually de-stemmed. They then ferment and macerate for 3 months in old French oak tanks. The wine then ages in 600-litre French oak barrels (10% new oak) until being bottled.

Tissot Poulsard Vieilles Vignes is a biodynamic red wine that is rich in fruit, fine in acidity and with an incredibly long finish for having such a light color. Winemaker Description.
