A beautiful, brilliant garnet-red color. The nose is very pretty with woody and fruity notes. On the palate are grilled and fruity, very ripe cherry aromas. The tannins are present without being too intrusive or aggressive. An elegant wine, fine and pedigreed. Serve with with grapes, duck breast with mushrooms, roast turkey, and any games dish. ~winery notes

The Domaine Faiveley Chambolle Musigny AC is sourced from multiple plots throughout the Chambolle Musigny appellation. Soils are stony and rich in limestone and exposures tend to be east/ southeast. Grapes are hand harvested and sorted upon arrival at the domaine. Following a 18-20 day maceration the must undergoes primary fermentation in a combination of stainless steel and wooden vats followed by blending of the cuvees. The young wines are aged in 30% lightly toasted new oak barrels for 14 to 16 months.

2020 is a solar vintage yet the wines show a lot of freshness. The yields are low but the quality is excellent with a perfect degree of ripeness. Chambolle-Musigny is a commune in the Cte-d'Or dpartement in eastern France. It is one of the wine villages situated on the Cte-d'Or escarpment, and is one of the twelve Cte d'Or communes of France which added or adopted the name of their best-known vineyard as a suffix to the original name of the village.

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundys most important producers. The family-owned estate, now in the hands of the seventh generation, is one of the largest in the region, with significant holdings in both the Cte dOr and the Cte Chalonnaise. The domaine currently has 120 hectares under vine with 80% of production coming from its own vineyards. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, they are predominantly a Pinot Noir producer, but they also have significant holdings in Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault for Chardonnay production, as well as vines in some of the regions top Grand Cru sites.
