Seal Cove Herbed Chevre (Maine, 4.5 oz.)

Seal Cove Farm Herbed Chèvre — Maine, 4.5 oz
Seal Cove Farm sits on the western shore of Mount Desert Island in Maine, where a small herd of French Alpine and Nubian goats graze on the farm’s pastures overlooking the Atlantic. The milk they produce is exceptionally clean and bright — the foundation for some of the most celebrated fresh chèvre made in New England. This Herbed Chèvre begins with their signature fresh goat cheese, blended with fresh garlic, then hand-rolled in cracked black peppercorns to create a bold, aromatic crust that gives way to a cool, tangy, and impossibly creamy interior.
It is one of Seal Cove’s most highly acclaimed fresh cheeses, and it is easy to understand why. Serve it at room temperature spread over a warm baguette or crackers, crumble it over a roasted beet salad, or set it at the center of a cheese board where it will inevitably be the first to disappear. Pair with a crisp Sancerre, Grüner Veltliner, or a dry Provençal rosé — anything with enough acidity to match the chèvre’s bright tang.
