Rogue Creamery - Rogue River Blue (per ounce)
2022 World Cheese Awards SuperGold Winner — one of the world’s greatest blue cheeses.
From the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, Rogue Creamery’s Rogue River Blue is a seasonal masterpiece — produced only in autumn when the cows graze on the lush, rain-kissed pastures of the Pacific Northwest. Each wheel is cave-aged, hand-wrapped in Syrah grape leaves soaked in pear spirits, and bathed in an organic red wine blend that imparts a distinctive rose blush to the rind and layers of extraordinary complexity within.
The result is a blue cheese unlike any other: rich and creamy, with bold blue veining balanced by notes of ripe berry, toasted hazelnut, and a signature brown butter finish. It is simultaneously wild and refined — a cheese that has earned its place among the world’s finest.
Perfect pairings: Pear, honeycomb, candied walnuts, and dark chocolate on the cheese board. Pair with Sauternes, late-harvest Zinfandel, Tawny Port, or a robust Syrah.
