Allen Meadows’ writes:  A very pinot-like nose speaks mostly of red cherry and raspberry along with background hints of spice and newly turned earth. The supple and relatively forward middleweight flavors possess a bit more volume while displaying reasonably good persistence on the bitter pit fruit-inflected finish that is just a bit more structured. Even so, this too should drink well shortly after release.  Drink 2024+.  - Allen Meadows’ Burghound

Neal Martin writes:  The 2021 Bourgogne Rouge has a pretty red cherry and cranberry scented nose, a little rustic in style. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, quite spicy and peppery in the second half with a clean, sous-bois-tinged finish .  Drinking 2023 - 2028.  - Vinous

This wine proves that red Burgundy doesn't have to take itself too seriously. It's a delightful, early-drinking blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay born from co-planted vines in a vineyard that skirts Chassagne-Montrachet. Made in a juicy, nouveau style, winemaker Céline Fontaine treats this the same as her traditional Bourgogne rouge. The varieties are co-fermented and aged in old oak, bottled bright, fresh and young. It's cracking drinking. A vibrant, crunchy red Burgundy for drinking any night of the week. Winemaker Description.

Allan Meadows writes: An ultra-fresh and lightly peppery nose speaks of both red and dark berries trimmed in a hint of the sauvage. The racy and utterly delicious lighter weight flavors conclude in a mildly austere, crisp and very clean finish that displays only a trace of rusticity. To enjoy young for its vivacity. - Burghound

Neal Martin writes: The 2021 Bourgogne Passetoutgrains, bottled in the summer, showed a lot of reduction during its maturation. It offers quite plump, red plummy aromas that seem quite pure. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly angular tannins, a nice piquancy here with traces of blue fruit on the slight monochromatic finish. - Vinous
