Rhum Barbancourt is a distinctively unique rum, pot distilled in 100% pure cane sugar juice and aged in French Limousin oak casks. Aged for 15 Years to create and extraordinary rum of unsurpassed quality. Only a limited amount of this award winning rum is released from the private reserve of the Barbancourt Estate each year.

Nose : Intense tropical notes of banana and vanilla with apricot and allspice. Hints of persimmon, orange peel and ginger, evolving on tar, sea spray and camphor. Palate : Rich fruity profile with notes of wood, vanilla, custard and toast evolving on cantaloupe, guava and cooked apple. Finish : Coconut milk, oak, spices, vanilla, liquorice, banana and star anise.

Highlights include a balance between hints of cooked agave and fruit, and added vanilla and caramel bring out the intensity of the oak. With a lingering taste, an intense aroma, and a well-rounded and full body.

Conversely, ours is aged exclusively in premium toasted, not charred, French Oak Barrels for a more complex flavor profile. Highest quality peaches and cream corn is distilled four times into a neutral grain spirit and blended with pristine water from Newfoundland, Canada. The liquid is then filtered seven times, of which three are through layers of semi precious crystals known as Herkimer diamonds.

The 3 generations on the bottle refer to Don Cenobio, Don Eladio and Don Francisco Javier of the Sauza family of tequila makers. The agave used for this tequila comes from the valleys of Jalisco, aged 6-8 years before harvesting. This añejo is aged 12 months in toasted American oak.
