Wine Enthusiast 92 Points | Dark cherries, dried mint and tobacco peep through the cracks of this polished, rather reticent wine from Australia’s west. It’s tightly wound with textured tannins and a nice lift of acidity. Flavor gets a little lost in all the power, but it should evolve nicely over the next several years. (Best Buy)

Jeff Porter of The Wine Enthusiast writes 92 Points | This classic Soave opens delicate aromas of white flowers, orange peel, and a hint of fresh green herbs. Flavors of green apple, pear, and salted almonds jostle for position on the palate, as if in a race to the sensory nerve. Mineral-driven, the wine is all about structure, balance and elegance. This is a foundational Soave, go find it!

On the nose there is the nectar of field flowers such as chamomile, elderflower, and iris. Mineral on the palate with an almond finish, typical of Classic Garganega.

Audrey Frick writes:  Part of a new collection that’s just reaching the market now, the NV Champagne Collection 245 is based on the 2020 vintage. (The trilogy of vintages in the collection are from the early ripening 2018, which is lighter and fruitier, the 2019, which is richer and more powerful, and the 2020, which is somewhere in between the other two.) The blend of the 245 is 41% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir, and the rest Meunier. It has a reflective straw hue and offers notes of fresh almond, bread dough, and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied on the palate, with a fruity nature, it’s crunchy and fresh in the glass, with a lovely chalky texture, good refinement, a note of fresh nectarine, and a clean finish. Dry, but with a delicate rounded feel and some depth throughout, it opens to show more of its salinity and the delicate reductive smoke that frames the wine with oyster shell-like umami character. Jeb Dunnuck 93 Points |  The 2023 Il Bruciato boasts a dark purple hue and exudes baked aromas of plum, pie spice, balsamic, and rich earth. Full-bodied, the palate is generous and rounded, with supple ripe tannins providing a fleshy sensation through the finish. I would prefer to enjoy this while it retains some freshness over the near term. This vintage is a blend of 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc, 19% Merlot, and the remainder Syrah and Petit Verdot.

The Wine Advocate 92 Points | The varietal 2023 Garnacha was produced with grapes from different villages of Navarra—Corella, Cintruénigo, Fitero and Lerga—so, it's a regional wine from grapes picked early. Fermented with 20% full clusters, then it was bottled early and unoaked. It has a bright ruby color and an expressive varietal nose, berries, flowers and herbs, with contained ripeness, 13.68% alcohol, a pH of 3.48 and 5.4 grams of acidity. It's fruit-driven and fresh, juicy, tasty and with a tender texture, very easy to drink and an incredible bargain. 155,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2024. (LG)

Antonio Galloni of Vinous writes 91 Points | The 2021 Chianti Classico is an elegant, gracious wine. Crushed flowers, bright red-toned fruit, tobacco, cinnamon and dried flowers all take shape in a decidedly delicate, understated wine from Rampolla. A model of elegance and finesse, the 2021 is showing beautifully today. There is perhaps just a touch of VA in the bouquet, but it is not especially evident. The blend is 80% Sangiovese, 16% Merlot and a dollop of Cabernet Sauvignon. The Sangiovese was aged in cask, while the French varieties were raised in smaller French barrels.

One of Joseph Drouhin’s illustrious endeavors in Oregon, 2022 marks the 21st vintage of Cloudline Pinot Noir. The fruit for Cloudline is sourced from some of Oregon’s top vineyards, and 25% of the fruit for the 2022 vintage is from Drouhin’s own Roserock Vineyard in the Eola-Amity region. 

Very easy to drink! Medium ruby-purple in the glass, it's scented of cranberries, blackberries and blueberries with touches of tar, mushroom and lavender. Light-bodied, soft and juicy, it offers generous perfumed fruit and a long, floral finish.

Winemaker Description

Hinia takes its name from the fossilized shells found in the soil from a time when the whole region was under the sea. This is a typical, classic, Rioja blend — fresh and smooth with well-balanced acidity and tannins. It has an intense cherry red colour with notes of ripe black fruit, an elegant range of balsamic notes with tobacco leaves, caramel, vanilla and chocolate. Aged for 36 months in American oak, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation took place naturally. A homage to the refined classic wines from Haro.

Tim Atkin 92 Points |  Hinia is a new Reserva brand from the under-rated Martínez Lacuesta operation that’s still impressively fresh and lively for a 2012 red. Partnering Tempranillo with 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo, it’s a nice cross over between a modern and traditional style, with balsamic American oak sweetness, bright acidity and good focus and minerality. 2023-29. Rand Sieger 67Wine.com | This is the lemonade of wine.  A super fresh and juicy summer quaffer to have with all your lighter summer foods. The first aromas that come up from the glass are crushed lilies of the valley and white pepper, followed
by citrus and fresh pineapple.  Dry, lean, fresh and juicy on the palate.

Winemaker Description 

A liter of the raciest, most energetic and appealingly mineralische Riesling imaginable. Alc: 12% Residual sugar: 7,5 g/ltr Acidity: 7,6 g/ltr Must weight: 88° Oechsle Harvest on 26th of September 2019, Temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel. On the fine yeast until bottling in stainless steel tanks (26th of February 2021) Bright yellow colour with green highlights; in the nose aromas of apple, yellow stone fruits and freshness; on the palate very harmonic, totally dry and refreshing.

Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker is a single vineyard site with a size of 121 hectares. 10% of the vineyard site is steep, 20% hilly and 70% are flat. The soil varies between sandy loam and loamy sand, mixed with limestone rocks and red sandstone. The name “Herrgottsacker” is probably derived from the word “Gottesacker” (which is a former word for cementery) andThis interpretation from Kimich, a small, traditional, 8th generation estate, is an absurd value in the liter bottle (33% more wine)!

Expert Review - Vintage 2022

James Suckling 93 Points | Fragrant, almost-sweet aromas lead to ripe red cherries, strawberries and cinnamon on the palate. Generous, mouth-filling and full-bodied, with good underlying acidity and moderate tannins for an appetizing texture.

Winemaker Description 

Deliciously aromatic with scents of honeydew melon and orange blossom, delicately infused with herb garden botanicals. A bright, seasonal expression, with juicy lemon and steely cassis flavours and a generously textured palate garnished with a flourish of pastis and wildflowers. A wine with impressive structure and depth, this is Marlborough sauvignon blanc with the volume turned down a notch.

Harvested largely by machine during cool (often cold) night-time conditions, the fruit was picked earlier than normal at high sugar levels over a 3-week period, commencing 16 March. Transported directly to our winery in the Omaka Valley, fruit was lightly pressed to yield a modest volume of high-quality juice. The juice was cold-settled and racked prior to fermentation, which was primarily carried out in stainless steel tanks with cultured yeast. All individual vineyard batches were left on lees until late June, when the blend was assembled.

Alistair Cooper MW of Jancis Robinson writes 16.5 Points | Tasted blind. Pure strawberry fruit on the nose, rosemary and thyme. Sweet and supple mid palate with a lovely savoury meaty note behind. Excellent energy drives this wine, juicy, fresh and really appealing!   Drinking 2024 to 2030.

Matt Walls of Decanter writes 91 Points | Fine and pretty, precise red berry fruits. Brisk, balanced, and drinkable. Enjoyable zingy acidity. Small but perfectly formed for a 2021 Gigondas. Mostly destemmed, natural yeasts, no acidification.  Drinking 2023 to 2028.

Nicolas Greinacher of Vinous writes 91 Points | The 2021 Gigondas Cuvée Tradition 1871 checks in at a moderate 13.7% alcohol. Cropped at 26hL/Ha, it offers shy red fruit aromatics but really comes alive on the palate. Solid flavor concentration flawlessly matches the energizing acidity, all tucked into a corset of gently sculpted tannins. The finish of this 2021 red is distinctively elegant. This spent one year in a combination of concrete tanks and foudres.  Drinking 2024 to 2031. 

Bart Hopkins of 67 Wine writes | Stephanie Fumoso is the great granddaughter of Eugene Bonfils, who founded Domaine Gour de Chaulé in the year 1900. The estate has 10 hectares of vineyard in the village of Gigondas mainly planted to Grenache with a small percentage of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault. The 2021 Cuvée Tradition is a pure expression of this beautiful part of the southern Rhone Valley, with juicy herb infused strawberry fruit on the nose accented with notes of crushed pepper and savory spices. Energetic and lively in the mouth with a gentle grip of tannins gracing the palate and a lick of acidity on the long elegant finish. Well balanced and perfectly mannered to suit the dinner menu, serve this distinctive Rhone with braised meats, roasted vegetables and hearty Mediterranean inspired dishes.

Maison Louis Latour, in keeping with its tradition of excellent quality, purchases grapes from competent growers with holdings in the most esteemed vineyards in the Mâcon-Villages zone. The wine is bottled during the following spring at 'Clos Chameroy' in the outskirts of Beaune. The Mâcon-Villages "Chameroy" represents the epitome of classical white Burgundy reflecting the fusion between the noble Chardonnay grape and the calciferous terrain of the Mâcon area. It possesses a fresh, creamy bouquet which enlivens the palate with suave, billowing flavor.

A lovely refreshing wine with citrus aromas such as grapefruit. It is well-balanced and an enjoyable, easy wine to drink. Makes a perfect match to shellfish and seafood, charcuterie and Comté cheese.

In 1989, Paul Buisse purchased over 173 acres of vineyards in an area recognized as one of the best for winegrowing in the Touraine appellation of the Loire Valley. Upon his retirement in 2010, Paul Buisse sold the company to his friend, Pierre Chainier, whose family has a long history of working in wine and trade dating back to 1749. Since, the Chainier family have become pioneers in sustainable farming, being the first to employ green practices in the region. The vision of the Chainiers is to bring knowledge, experience and a passion for winemaking to the industry.

Georgina Hindle of Decanter writes 93 Points | A nuanced nose, lots going on, sweet spice, perfume and bramble fruits. Chewy, this is round and plump - opulent but then so precise on the palate with real tension. Cooling blue fruits and liquorice, it's the cool freshness that really gives this life. Yes, the tannins are abundant and mouth coating but they're soft and fine and this has great execution. You can feel the intensity but it's carried very well. A blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc.  Drinking 2023 - 2035. (2019). 

Antonio Galloni of Vinous writes 90 Points | The 2019 Bel-Air Jean & Gabriel is impeccable. Soft, creamy and beautifully layered in the glass, the 2019 is especially fine for Lussac, where the wines are rarely this polished. Black cherry, chocolate, licorice and dark spice build over time. There is a bit of grip on the finish, but also more than enough fruit to make it all work. (2019).

Color  is straw yellow, with slight greenish hints. Offers a particularly fine mineral feeling and notes of fruit and white flowers. Mouthfeel is lively, balanced, with a fresh acidity, which increases its persistance and favours its drinkability.

Perfect pairing - Excellent as aperitif, paired with hors d’oeuvres and fish ragú or vegetable first courses. It is the perfect match also for seafood.

The vineyard's soil at La Raia is calcareous and clayey, it's approximately 400 metres above sea level with a south-east and south-west exposure. The vineyards surround the cellar, with an average density of 4500 plants per hectare. In accordance with the farm’s core philosophy and in line with the biodynamic principles, the vines are farmed without the use of any chemicals.

It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and has a dark color with jammy berry flavors and a smoky finish. It has notes of mocha, caramel, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
